joci , its nothing really, ok ill go into oportos game tonight , i back unders 5.5 goals for£ 20 at 21, costs me £400, ok so thats my risk, so all i do i call it cover but its just a little insurance so i back the unquoted score say £ 15 at 8, therefore if i just let it ride all match and score is over 5.5, i lose 400 , but get back £105 on the unquoted, i therefore still lose £295, if under 5.5 goals i win only £ 5, but in the instance of a 4 0, 4 1 , or 5 0 score i would win on the lay of 5.5 plus the unquoted score winnings of £125, which very nearly came off in this match. the beauty of this though is that if there are quick goals etc, you can trade on your big lay , and trade on your unquoted. it isnt clever or nothing, but at the moment im quite happy to win a £ 5 from a bet , also as insurance you could put £ 2 on 3 3 draw . anywayback to snooker won £3 on last frame, new bank £857

I might be missing something here not claiming to be an expert So, lay the draw at kick off, then back the draw once a goal goes in at the higher price? Might have a think about it if / when I get to the £500 target. Why don't you join in here with your selections? |

I will from tomorrow on. I have generally been a CS layer as well but just thinking if we are trying to hit specific targets and was e.g. €10 from a match I'd prefer to have laid @3 i.e. €30 and cash out for €10 profit when a goal goes in than lay 0-0 @9. Not trying to sound smarter than anyone just saying I've been caught myself a few times and since I changed strategies it's been working out better.

I havn't been on forum for long time,but this looks fun! I think I will also do £50,but with 10 lines of £5 and aim for about 100 bets to make around £1000. Another idea could be to back at 1.04 and lay at 1.02 to make that 2% profit. or other way around? A football team 2 or 3 -0 up last 15 mins could work.I think its possible to back horses at 1.01 near the end. Or lay the one who is last?
I only get 1.02(2%) on my ISA a year! |

What bank did you start with, at what opoint did you scrap the 365 consecutive 1.02's. what odds have you been betting on and how much of your bank at time. thanks in advance Apologies for the long post in advance, but the start bank was £10.00 (on 14th January) and balance now just over £480. Bets have been almost exclusively goal betting, and I normally go for 1+, 2+ etc once a goal has already been scored. I've had a few 'mad' moments where I've wagered the entire bank (not recommended), but I generally try and keep low stakes, and eke out a few quid here and there, with volume being the key. The long list below (  ) shows the bets from 14th Jan to this morning. This doesn't quite add up to the full £480, as there are a few in the Aussie wallet too. Because I had to cut each individual page into a spreadsheet, the ordering is a bit funny...(each page has been separated, but chronologically, you need to start from the bottom of each page) i.e. the bet that kicked it all off was £10 on Zbrojovka Brno v Sigma Olomouc at the bottom of page 1.Started with £10 on 14th Jan, and made about 175 bets. I had 1.04 in the queue for a goal in Benfica which somehow got lapsed, even if they didn't score until the 20th odd minute. My plan was to get straight into the Real Madrid game but in my confusion at working out where my Benfica "winnings" were and what the stake should be I missed the first two goals. Ended up using the other bank in annoyance and going for 1 more at 1-1. I've a commission discount in that bank so had to work out the above manually. Was then fortunate enough to turn on to the snooker with Robertson well positioned in the final frame with at least another 3 chances to win if he screwed that up. Thought the 1.06 was massive even considering earlier snooker scares so piled in. I saw someone above mention something about after timing. I don't really view this as a "tip" thread, even if I've posted a good proportion of my bets before they are settled but one strategy I've been following is to lump on a train to 1.01 and I'll be buggered if I'm going to attempt to document what I'm doing on a phone at the same time I'm trying to get involved! In some cases one hopes to be in & out of markets in less than a minute after all. Anyway, well done to those still in. Very quiet day today so unlikely to get involved. No need to force things. |

Yeah the thing is with lay the draw is, if there is an overwhelming favourite the draw price won't move as it's expected they'll equalise. Real Madrid last night a perfect example. That said, you're insulated from that a lot by the fact if you do lose, it's less likely to be terminal by laying 0-0.
It's probably well worth doing on a game that has a) more evenly matched teams and b) an expectation of goals so long as you're on the ball enough to do the trade and not get caught by two in very quick succession. Setting the bet persistence helps with that I suppose. |

yes in real madrid's case it was still worth doing anyway as id imagine the draw price as soon as they went 2-1 up was well worth trading ...

I am getting a grand from a deal that I have had on Saturday.I am then going to have a proper pop at this challenge.
So this £70-00 that I have now is going to be used to get me real fast up to a grand before then. I will most probably crash & burn well before then,but that's my target & I'll enjoy the challenge win or lose. You never know,just need some luck & a great load of winning bets. |
