The Uni had quite a few tidy footballers but didn't have a forward player good enough to give themselves a chance in a game like this. 1-0 down to a badly defended corner just before half-time and that gave a taste of things to come. More fairly cheap goals in the second half plus a penalty, though in fairness to Cove, they had another two efforts cleared off the line.

Good game to watch anyway.

I have just collected £1419 off my will hill.

The guy rang up to question the prices and got confirmation that they were right, but took my iPhone skysports score centre app as gospel for the correct scores, which surprised me.

Actually went halves with my betting buddy so got £710 back but will go to my season ticket at Gresty Road as I haven't bought it yet.

I passed on your tip to a few mates who got on last year as well, so Superbigal, you will be toasted in the pubs clubs of Cheshire and Merseyside tonight.

Legend.

Cheers Huggy.
I used to post on here weekly but really now pick my moments as there is so much shyte posted when it comes to tips.
To be fair I normally put a lot more detail into my post than I did today but rest assured it was researched.
My last post I believe on here was to tip an overs single on Edinburgh City v Montrose in the 2nd or 3rd round last season. I remember Montrose won 3-1.

To be honest since getting married 15 months ago and having the young lad the missus does not let me on the PC as much as I used too.

I can confirm it was not NOCKO the Hills Junior odds compiler who gave us all the generous odds.
Owen (Nocko) was not aware of todays late prices.
Some of you will remember him for tipping famously "Gretna will not win" as they proceeded to beat Cowdenbeath 8-0.

Cove profit from tiring Students
Cove Rangers advanced to the Second Round of the Scottish Cup after seeing off Glasgow University 4-0 on a glorious afternoon at Garscube Sports Complex. Despite the favourable scoreline Cove weren't at their best, though still could have added more against a tiring side.
The Highland League's superior fitness levels coupled with the introduction of a fresh, jet-heeled Kevin Webster in the second-half caused no end of problems as the game neared its climax. This came after a stuffy first-half in which neither side had really settled into the game until Daniel Park's opener.

That said, it was the students who were first to threaten, with what was to be one of only four efforts they had all game. Striker Gavin Ferguson teed himself up neatly on the edge of the area, before firing a snapshot towards the bottom corner, with Stuart McKenzie squirm low to beat it away.

Cove's first effort came on 14 minutes when Murray McCulloch flighted a free-kick forward, and after the Glasgow defence failed to fully clear the danger the ball ended up with Kevin Stewart. However his shot brushed narrowly wide.

Daniel Park came close with a cross**** shot which skimmed the roof of the net on 21 minutes, while at the other end the impressive Ross Gallacher struck a shot inches wide from the edge of the box.

It was to be on the after 38 minutes the deadlock was broken, with Cove fully profiting from their first corner of the match amidst major question marks over the defending. Jordan Leyden swung the ball in, where it found Daniel Park completely unmarked right in front of the goalkeeper, and he had an easy task of steering his header home.

Just two minutes later Jamie Beagrie saw his header tipped wide by keeper Jamie MacFarlane, as Cove went in at half-time knowing they would need to up the ante to see off their determined opponents.

Half-time: Glasgow University 0-1 Cove Rangers

Cove's top scorer Danny Milne had made a quiet start to the game, but he almost came up trumps for Cove on 51 minutes after Beagrie lifted a header over the exposed goalkeeper, but as Milne tried to nod home he was denied by heroics on the line from Neil Moffat.

However, Moffat was unfortunate to be caught out on 61 minutes, as an outstretched leg trying to win the ball caught the on-rushing Park, with the referee having little hesitation in pointing the spot. Danny Milne stepped up, and he dispatched a low drive into the bottom corner, despite MacFarlane coming very close to keeping it out.

A burst of pace from the newly-introduced Kevin Webster just two minutes later led to Park nearly grabbing his second. The former Arbroath man whipped in a superb cross which found Park, but his drilled effort was blocked by the legs of MacFarlane.

Webster didn't have long to wait before he grabbed an assist though, through an exquisite piece of audacity. Having conceded a free-kick in a wide-left position the students lined-up their goalkeeper and defence in expectation of a cross, but Webster's powerhouse shot caught MacFarlane cold. He dropped the ball right to the feet of Danny Milne who had an easy finish to end the tie as a contest.

After the introduction of wingers Webster and Richie Singer, it was becoming more and more difficult for the tiring Glasgow side to keep up with the pace. From yet another Webster delivery, Milne would have completed his hat-trick but for an outstanding save to tip his header wide of the top right-hand corner.

By this stage the Aberdeen side were on easy street, and a corner from Webster on 85 minutes picked out a gap between two defenders, where the Daniel Park was on hand to grab his second in almost identical fashion to his first.

Without Cove hitting their greatest form, they were afforded to not be at their best due to the sheer gulf in class between the sides, and but for a crucial goal for half-time it could have been an uncomfortable second-half for the Blues.

Full-time: Glasgow University 0-4 Cove Rangers

Scottish Cup Super Six for Huntly
Huntly ran out comfortable winners over South of Scotland Newton Stewart with a 6-1 win and six different players getting on the score sheet to ensure a happy return to the Scottish Cup for manager Dave McGinlay
The deadlock was broken on twenty minutes when Neale Davidson's cross was missed by the Huntly strikers and Paul McCarthy made a late run into the penalty box to net his first goal for the club with a low drive.

A seven minute spell before the break effectively killed the game as a contest with Huntly netting a further three. Michael Fyfe got the ball on the right corner of the box to fire in a strike into the far post. On 43 minutes Fyfe turned provider as Barry Somers was blocked before Adam Naismith followed up from close range to open his account for the club.

As the first half went into stoppage, Alexander Thoirs' cross was headed in by Russell Guild to head home to make it 4-0 at the break to the delight of the home support. Alex Thoirs got on the score sheet himself just two minutes into the second half with a fantastic strike which he powered into the far corner from the right of the penalty area.

Ten minutes later, the visitors grabbed a consolation with their only shot on target with Michael Sutherland taking the ball onto his left foot before curling low to find the bottom corner.

Russell Guild turned provider with twelve minutes remaining with a through ball to David Booth who netted for the first time since August 13th striking high and wide of the keeper as the Black and Golds rounded off a fine afternoon's work

Full Time: Huntly 6 Newton Stewart 1
