If you think Fergie is scared of getting rid of players who won't do as he says then just take a look at his record.

my grandad was a fearsome man and everyone was scared to upset or dissagree with him, however as time went by and he became physically and mentally weaker people realised he was just a frail old man who used to be a bully in his prime, but now had become a pushover with no fear factor

Fergie isn't your Grandad, he led United to within a point of the Premier League title only a few weeks ago.

The idea he's suddenly a frail old man is simply laughable.

Considering that the seats of his car are regularly subject to being $hat on thanks to his own incontinence, often resulting in detours down hard shoulders as he desperately tries to find a usable dock leaf, I shouldn't think he would give a $hit, as it were.

leeonahigh,on what basis is your opinion?if u look at the united squad compared to the liverpool one, united have a lot of young promising players coming through, jonny evans, fabio, rafael, smalling, thats a whole defence, then also add the likes of nani, valencia, gibson, macheada and hernandez, who have liverpool got?lucas?ngog?spearing?pmsl LaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaughLaugh

Liverpool have young defenders coming through too, the likes of Danny Wilson, Martin Kelly, Jonjo Shelvey are rumoured to play well together although I'm not a 'pool fan so they'll prob know more, it seems they will be retaining players when many thought they would lose, also the club may see investment which utd most certainly won't.

Also if you want to discuss further if you'd refrain from p1ssing yourself laughing and using excessive smilies when responding to my point.

The thing is though, Utd invested a fraction of the Ronaldo fee in new players and on the back of the 3 most successful and highest-revenue-generating seasons in their entire history would have posted a big loss if it wasn't for the Ronaldo money.
Utd have invested relatively small amounts in youngsters who they hope will improve in value, give good service and then, if necessary, be sold for a good profit. This is their business model under the Glazers. And the big question behind all that is, what happens if the revenue drops? If attendances drop? They go out of the CL at an early stage? They finish 3rd, 4th or even 5th?
Who will be sold to pay off the interest?

kauto it is already apparent from only 2 posts you fall under the blinkered utd fan category and ignorant to boot, so i will leave you to your delusions.

Also, the only people being laughed at are those utd fans who thinks winning the mickey mouse cup represented a good season.

The reason you use your smilies and acronyms is because you struggle to make a valid point without these childish aims.

I do hope this helps.

well, season tickets have gone on general sale for the 1st time ever so that's a good indication that they might struggle to fill the ground sometimes next season. And with Chelsea having returned to form, Liverpool keeping their 2 main players and maybe on the brink of a buyout which could bring investment in the team, City's relentless spending, Arsenal always strong and even Spurs not selling their stars and building a top 4 team the possibility of Utd falling out of the top 4, though slim, is greater than in previous years, particularly as no adequate replacements have been got for Scholes and Giggs and the team seems as reliant on Rooney as last season.

You are correct but both scenarios were terrible seasons for both of you. at least 'pool fans don't try to dress it up as a successful season

Dont think united will underperform this coming season, and I fully expect them to retain the carling cup, and almost win the league, as well as almost winning the fa cup, and only just missing out on the cl also,

how many times over the past 20 years have i heard the same rubbish,
some people just cannot bare to see united dominating,it takes over there already sad lives imo,
"your player's make money, our player's make history" is a particular favourite of mine, along with,
"our history makes us strong, your hate makes us stronger"
By:
LeoOnAHigh

I agree with your points on using the word 'history', it is ludicrus that Liverpool fans think their club is still the biggest in the world because of 'history'.

But I don't think the point I made just has been repeated to you over the past 20 years though, 'pool and utd both had dissapointing seasons last year, only utd's fans are dressing it up as a good season.

Also i don't think I had to bear united dominating last season because they did not in any way shape or form, or did you see something i didn't?

dress what up as a successful season?finishing 7th and been dumped out of the champion league in the group stages?
is it possible to dress that up as a successful season?
