What is Phenergan?

Phenergan is an antihistamine. It blocks the effects of the naturally occurring chemical histamine in your body.

Phenergan is used to treat allergy symptoms such as itching, runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, hives, and itchy skin rashes.

Phenergan also prevents motion sickness, and treats nausea and vomiting or pain after surgery. It is also used as a sedative or sleep aid.

yeah u can get some ANTIHISTIME drugs over the counter, i was actually gonna get one once, but on the pack says mainly for HAYFEVER ITCH and stuff. Sedative property of the drug seems to be only a secondary effect of the medicine.

i decided to leave it alone, because i didnt know if it was the right thing to take.Because it wasnt specifically desinged for a sleeping aid

i dont know though is upto you

I've been trying Piriton (drowsy anti-histimines) for a few weeks but not really sure if it's helping me.

Had cronic insomnia years ago and camomile tea seemed to cure it.
Nowadays if I've been missing out on me zeds I take a lorazepam tablet..100% guaranteed to do the trick. It will probably end up being addictive in the sense that I'll find it impossible to sleep without it but as Sir Clement Freud said: there's nothing wrong with being addicted to sleepers as long as you've got sleepers(or words to that effect).
good enough for him-good enough for me.

I generally take one or two cryptic clues from a crossword ( in me head ) to bed . The only bu**er is when you solve one soon after the cranium hits the cotton and have to get up again to fill it in .

Go to a links Golf Course and play 2 rounds of Golf. You should be so knackered that you will sleep for a week. Perhaps this may result in severe back pain and your doc will adminster tramadol that will help you sleep like Rip Van Winkle. On the bright side you should be up early on a Saturday and been on Pricewise for shops opening and been the one and only person to get the 33/1 on Evens and Odds and be able to supply this site with loads of winners. Now get to bed
