Facts:
* Won no European competitions last season
* Got to one final - Fulham
* No player performed, at all, in the World Cup
* Most clubs are allowed to operate carrying enormous debts with no income to cover.
* This causes collapse of clubs and a spiral out of control (Portsmouth, Sheff Wed, Leeds etc)
* There is no pipeline for quality players into the national team (ref 1966)
* If they are so bleeding premier, how come a team with average gates of 8k, cost nothing and a ground with 3 sides can get in. (Well done Blackpool)
There is a cancer in this and it needs cutting out. Its money that is the root cause of the EPL's problems. Sky suck people into believing their marketing hype.
If Blackpool werent in it I wouldnt bother.

One huge factor you missed is the amount of Champions League finals English teams get to.
2009 - 1 Finalist
2008 - 2 Finalists
2007 - 1 finalist (3 Semi finalists)
2006 - 0 finalists
2005 - 1 Finalist
Find me another nation with more finalists than that in the last 6 years. English football is dominating on the European scene. FACT.

Germany are gash at Champions League level. 1 Finalist in 8 years.
Spain on the other hard I would agree with, minus the debt part. Seeing as Barca had to take a loan out the other week just to pay their players. Them and Real are in some serious debt.

France in recent years have won the European Championship and the World Cup, but have only had one team reach the finals in the last 17 seasons.

The situation in Spain is arguably more precarious than in England. When the two biggest clubs have trouble paying their own players you know things aren't good. Not to mention the massive gulf in quality between the top 2 and the rest.
Club football in Europe is facing some serious problems across the board. The only nation that appears to know how to run things the right way is Germany.
