Most of them points apply to most European nations.
One huge factor you missed is the amount of Champions League finals English teams get to. 2009 - 1 Finalist 2008 - 2 Finalists 2007 - 1 finalist (3 Semi finalists) 2006 - 0 finalists 2005 - 1 Finalist Find me another nation with more finalists than that in the last 6 years. English football is dominating on the European scene. FACT. Nationwise - We suck. |

Ok, take Sky away then. What have you got now? The Scottish League???

_______________ foreign football under an english club banner you mean ? [;)] |

Germany are gash at Champions League level. 1 Finalist in 8 years.
Spain on the other hard I would agree with, minus the debt part. Seeing as Barca had to take a loan out the other week just to pay their players. Them and Real are in some serious debt. |

France in recent years have won the European Championship and the World Cup, but have only had one team reach the finals in the last 17 seasons.
Please explain the relationship between the two or fook off to the cricket forum. |

Imagine if England football team only had to play India, pakistan, south africa, australia etc to be world champs. And they got beat because West Indies had two players who could kick the ball at 100 miles an hour.
|
|
By:
But you did not say they had to play West Indies, so it would not matter

"Except Spain and Germany"
--------------------------------- You're joking, surely? The situation in Spain is arguably more precarious than in England. When the two biggest clubs have trouble paying their own players you know things aren't good. Not to mention the massive gulf in quality between the top 2 and the rest. Club football in Europe is facing some serious problems across the board. The only nation that appears to know how to run things the right way is Germany. |
