You should be looking a bit closer to home imo sb... A club that doesnt even know whats happening with its own players contracts.

Revel in our current problems all you like, but it doesnt change things for you. We can sit out a few barren years as we've had some great seasons and great trophies this decade. Your primary source of enjoyment as an Everton fan, is, as usual, laughing at Liverpool. Sums it up I suppose.

CCM. Your club is a joke at the moment and I take great pleasure in laughing my c o c k off at you and your club. The facts don't lie and if you want to talk about Everton losing Dan Gosling over a contract dispute as being in comparison with your club.... bring it on. Your club is selling its soul all over the world for new investment. Your fans, and I respect their efforts are creating credit unions in an attempt to purchase shares, show clear desperation to move the Americans on....

Your club has had some success in recent times and I as an Evertonian want success, Thats every fans right. But please don't mask your problems at your club by even trying to point the finger at Everton and the way our club is being run. Take your head from the sand and take a reality check.

For 'this' decade, please see 'last' decade Plain

Sb, you're telling me to take my head from the sand. You t1t Laugh I think you assume you know whats happening better than me then do you? Brilliant stuff that is. No-one is more acutely aware of the problems our club face.

Your club is selling its soul all over the world for new investment

Something slightly ironic about this comment. Your club has been seeking new investment for eons. And guess what, no-one is remotely interested.

You can 'laugh your c0ck off' all you like. I'll have a fiver with you we find new investors and new owners a long time before you do. I'd make the most of your little moment in the sun while it lasts. However bad are prospects are, yours are worse.

But please don't mask your problems at your club by even trying to point the finger at Everton

More irony. But its Ok for you to the same thing the other way round? Have a word with yourself eh

The irony here is there's every chance a new owner wouldn't even have a fiver to his name! Look at what happened at Portsmouth last season, and be careful what you wish for.

At this moment in time i'd rather be an Evertonian than one of you. I'm friends with many Liverpool season ticket holders and have discussion weekly about football. There is a real concern that investors have looked at Liverpool and are tempted, but what sound business person or group would honestly say Liverpool are a sound investment at the moment? The debt needs to be addressed, investment to the squad and a stadium.... Everton have similar quests in obtaining investment and stadium but we don't have the debt that is by the minute growing. Everton have gone about building a team to compete on a shoe string and CCM, I believe we are not that far away from competing. Your competing next season with 8 or 9 teams for a top 4 place. Without CL money Liverpool with not be an attractive business investment. CCM, your current situation obviously hurts as a fan, my parting comment will be Join my world! Instead of Liverpool fans gloating in my face for the past decade as you put it, a reality check won't be a bad thing afterall.

Whenever I think of the predicament we're in and how we had "the worst season ever" last year we still finished above our local "rivals". Just how bad do we have to become before they can look down on us. I mean, we finished below them once a few years ago and that only resulted in the biggest pissing on of chips since the national incontinents society's casino night out in 1999.

The thought that I'd ever rather support any team than LFC sends shivers down my back and should make you feel ashamed of yourself sir.

sole ambition to remain in the prem, should be achievable without getting into debt, the problems tend to stem from ambition, to achieve more than the status quo, or to retain the status quo different problems for different levels of ambition/success imo

sb. I fear you may be missing my point. I have never been the type of fan to gloat in someone's face. I think thats my main issue tbh. It shows a distinct lack of class and intelligence.

The day I take more enjoyment from the demise of a rival than the success of my own, is the day I will stop being a fan. Plenty of our fans are like that btw, but that doesnt make it any more acceptable.

As for wanting to be a Blue more than a red, I personally think thats delusional, but we're both bound to think that, arent we?

We are at a huge cross roads, thats for sure. But the same debt laden club,  nearly won the league a matter of 15 months ago, with almost the same squad. According to you lot, Rafa was compeletly inept. Rafa must stay etc etc. But now it seems we are going to do worse with a Manager that his peers voted the best in the league last season. Go figure.

Of course the lack of CL money has made things worse, and the debt is growing by the second. No club in the Prem is a 'sound investment' at the moment. It requires playboy millionaires. It could go massively wrong for us in the next year or two, of that there is no doubt.

But good luck to the halfwits out there who will 'laugh their c0cks off' if it does all go wrong.

RP. I don't think there are different levels of ambition? Over recent times Everton have found it harder to achieve success without investment.

Dont see you condemning your own about starting threads about Everton, United and Chelsea. So why is it any different when a rival fan starts one about you guys.

Everton strike me as a club who realistically are happy to stay in the prem, and hope they can have a cup run in the domestic competitions and possibly make the europa cup, this probably stems from a long period of battling relegation, a sort of safety first approach and take any upside should it go well, they once had the best team in the country and probably europe for a period also there is nothing wrong with that approach or the opposite approach taken by clubs such as Chelsea and city latterly makes football what it is imo

No moral high ground for any fans to take, we all take some delight in our rivals troubles.

However, best seasons for following Everton for me, where mid eighties when Liverpool also won a lot and had a great team. Will never forget travelling to final after final with plenty of reds for company.
