I fear a bit for england if they get through the group stages and carragher starts, his lack of pace has to be a real concern.
|
|
By:
Agreed - if King is injured then we will be severely weaker at the back.
Carragher reads the game better than Dawson or Upson I think, which you need alongside Terry, but he is very slow! |

"So many people with no many clueless judgments regarding English football."
Oh so you know some of the FA chiefs?? |

Never understand why we take semi fit players, barry is a liability as is king.
|
|
By:
barry a liability??, not sure where your gettin that from m8

Because, MT, they are the best we've got.
Name another centre half who can do the job that Rio and Ledley can? |
|
By:
If there are doubts over his fitness then hes a liability.
last thing you need is for the squad to be missing players. |
|
By:
the sooner people wake up to the fact they have no chance, the better.

By:
'no chance'
Give a rest, you clown. |

So your sayin if rooney is carrying a slight knock, then he is a liability too

For clarification purposes, magic man is still in a tantrum having been owned, by me, recently.
I shall therefore be laughing and pointing, but not engaging. ![]() |

Of course they will qualify, jaysus some people on here need to wake up. An awful group, england will still get 7 pts.

I'm a liverpool supporter but carragher will be found out by the better strikers, no doubt about it. You are just the man that I need to talk to. Why are people backing Carragher to be the next Liverpool manager? This punting is totally beyond my comprehension. |

For clarification purposes, magic man is still in a tantrum having been owned, by me, recently. Magic Man is a pro punter, or so he tells us. His total focus is on making $$$s. Furthermore he has been doing this for a whole 3 weeks now. ![]() |

It's all rather amusing when he's being mocked Alex, but I like to call a halt once I've achieved my aim, as per the quote above.
Right, back to England. Carragher is a liability, yes, but he is maybe good enough to see us through against the likes of Algeria, Slovenia and maybe Serbia, France? We will require a bit of luck, but a fresh King for a semi would suddenly look good. |
|
By:
The only thing is palmer,if england get to the semi's with carragher playing, cannot see him being dropped at that stage to be honest.
|
|
By:
Hmm...maybe, but I wouldn't be so sure.
Capello strikes me as a man prepared to do that sort of thing, more so than any of his predecessors. |

Yeh i have seen that, absolutely not a chance in hell, some people have to much money i think. He wouldn't be in the top 50 candidates. Somebody was good enough to get Robbie Fowler added to the list and I note that people have actually backed him too. I note that Eddie Izzard is on the list for the next London Mayor as well. The world is going mad![:(] |

... mixed with a splash of infant school. So many people with no many clueless judgments regarding English football. Incredible. I did try reading the whole thread but Palmer's constant belittling is too tiresome. Palmer, before this competition started you told me that King was a good selection and that I should wait until the tournament started to see that you are right. WIth King managing 45 minutes and out for at least the next match, will you now admit you were wrong? We also disagreed on whether Capello was correct to pick wildly differing teams and formations in the build-up to the World Cup, with the inexplicable decision in the last full-international to start with three players who did not even make his squad. What was the outcome of all this experimentation? Milner on the left with Lampard and Gerrard in the centre of a 4-4-2 in a very disjointed performance. I predicted that as a result of his pre-World Cup selections we would not play as a team and you disagreed. Do you still think you're right? From memory, the only thing we agreed on was that Carragher shouldn't be in the squad. I take it that's one thing we still agree on. I also predicted before the match that Green would be our downfall. I do not recall your views on Green. My conclusion is that you are one of the "many people with no [sic] many clueless judgments regarding English football." |
