That missed double 2 to go 5-2 up will haunt Littler for a while. Such fine margins. |

Humphries threw better darts and he seems like a nice fella. Deserved the win.
Humphries was rocking at one point but when Littler missed for 5-2, it seemed the turning point for both. From then out, Littler was outscored in what seemed like every leg, reduced to scrambling towards an unlikely 170 before Humphries checked out. If the game had gone on, I reckon Humphries would have won the next seven sets. Littler seems a nice lad too and undoubtedly brilliant but he’s not going to dominate darts tournaments throwing c 57 on his first three darts. |
