Still no 180's odds markets. Post on here for any other stats requirements. It's not only the stats that point to Thornton as Seniors Champion... Thornton is most successful of the 3 former pdc players having beaten both Taylor and van Gerwen in Major tv Finals and is still the most active. Be it on the pdc tour or Modus live league. Had a high 80's seasonal running average and is currently averaging 92+ in this event. Painter has won a Players championship tv major. Has not been too active competitive wise since retiring from pdc a year ago. stays sharp with no nonsense practice sessions with Edgar. Prakash also got a shout out from Webby in comms. Jenkins is forever the bridesmaid. 9 times runner up in tv majors. Semi retired from pdc 5 years ago and never returned to Q School in 2019. His preparation for this was a few days in Modus online league and more recently playing in local comps, winning most of them. This leaves the BDO Legend Martin "Wolfie" Adams - 3 times BDO World Champion and World Masters winner. Former England Captain and winner of endless other titles. I wonder, does he still hold the highest points tally in the darts decathlon? - This includes all the former greats of the game. Forever part of the Modus online live league which not only keeps him competitive it's a very good pay day. His success will always be questioned and frowned upon from many outside (maybe some inside) of darts for not moving to the pdc. A well respected man in the sport and a known name. Win or lose, he still laughs his b@llocks off. So who will be crowned the inaugural Seniors World Champion? After researching, writing and reading all this back everything points to the Thorn - Robert Thornton. Thornton 5-2 Wolfie in the Final. Good luck to everyone having a punt. Last word (many in fact) to Bobby George: "That's the way to do it" "Lovely Jubbly" Throw where you're looking and look where you're throwing." "Scoring for show, Doubles for dough." And lastly "May the darts be with you." ![]() P.S. The very last word goes to Uncle Gwynne: "If you hold your throw you never know." |

Darts Decathlon? My mind was racing away...of course it's Pentathlon.
Yep, Wolfie is still top of the pops with a mighty 489 points in 2004. John Lowe 10 times winner Wolfie 9 Bristow / Taylor / Fordham 2 each Other notable winners: Priestley Warriner Beaton Burnett |

Stats are close but Painter totally outplayed so far.
Fighting like a rabid dog to hold on to the sets he threw first in whilst Thornton bossed his own. Reminds me of that Taylor / Lewis semi final. Lewis had a record 180's in that match but never close on Taylor's throw. As one sided a match I can remember. Thorn leads 3-1 Lets see what happens now... |

Wonder how forum member Bin Bagged is getting on @ Circus Tavern. Maybe post an update from the venue? Or caught coming out the bogs followed by Hells Bells and Wolfie's ex wife Sharon.
Wolfie did well to turn that set around after blowing the first set to level at 1-1 |

Nice one Starkey.
Taylor in the field ramped all the prices up. Good luck. Had several buffering issues during the 2nd semi and missed some set winning moments. Took a look at the stats and what impressed me was Wolfie closing out the match with winning legs of 15, 14, 14 which equates to 104.86 average. Very good as his match average was 88.97 with Jenkins 86.32 Sportsbook have excelled themselves with a full list of betting options. Very few markets missing like checkout % but that's just being picky.. Well done BFS! No surprise to see it's the shortest price of all markets. It's been a buying money tournament so why not go for it one more time?! I have. Not much time to put some semi final / tournament stats together with a few mins until show time. I'll do my best... Thornton winning legs: 15, 21, 18, 15, 19, 16, 14, 15, 15, 15, 16, 18, Closed out the match with 17, 13, 21 Wolfie winning legs: 13, 22, 17, 16, 17, 16, 15, 11, 14, 15, 21, Closed out the match with 15, 14, 14 Thornton Tournament 180's 22 in 58 legs = 1 every 2.63 legs 7 in 11 legs last 24 3 in 10 legs last 16 4 in 12 legs quarter 8 in 25 legs semi Wolfie Tournament 180's 12 in 62 legs = 1 every 5.16 legs 4 in 20 legs last 16 4 in 15 legs quarter 4 in 27 legs semi The odds / stats are there for future generations tuning into the Seniors. 8PM I love betting on the Averages markets but will sit this one out and hope both produce top darts. I've had 1 bet and having checked the stats i'm more than happy with my investment. Most 180's in match - Thornton @ 1/3 ![]() Good luck eyeryone |

Don't believe it! I wrote a big piece post Final and it vanished. I usually save to draft and keep copy n pasting in case this happens. Only this time i didn't, and it did. The crust of it...incredibly that muggy 180 bet came in yet my profit Zero!!! having chased my ass to limit potential losses I swerved a bullet.
All's well that ends well. Three cheers for the Seniors! Maybe the darting gods were on my side having somehow found myself endlessly writing away on here. Something I never planned doing. Just got caught up with it all. It's 1:15AM here. Had enough of this time zone. Next stop Mexico where they're 6 hours ahead. Good travel timing as Modus online live league is back on Tuesday, along with the Edgar in the line up. Postcard from the edge...9 |
