Have to say fair play to MVG, very competitive but always seems to take defeat on the chin on stage and act in right way.

That was a weird match. Barney was oscillating between 4/10 and 9/10. Phil was oscillating between 6/10 and 8/10. From Set 5 onwards though he was pretty much 7/10 or 8/10. If Barney had been able to maintain his best level he would have won or at least have been able to compete, but he fell too far below his best.
Phil's worst game was better than Barney's game. To be fair though, that was the best Phil has thrown all tournament. I was sure Anderson could beat Phil if it came to that, but now I am not so sure. |
