CC, yes, you felt on top of the world and your confidence goes through the roof.
speaking to the opposite sex is unusually easy as you pick out the best looking girl in the bar and then attempt to charm the pants of her. ![]() obviously it was a long time ago but it was fantastic.... |

I was full of solpadol when I won this year's golf club matchplay final. And of course a few lines. Had it in one of they wee snorter tube things. Was playing a copper. Could only do a line when in the trees

And remember, this is just the warm-up to the acid-soaked psychedelia of the Lakeside World Championship, where invisible dogs and players showing how to change nappies on a Zippy from Rainbow puppet are routine occurrences.

Greatest sport in the world Al!

Yeah aber gives you great strength and confidence.not had an Eccie in years sadly. Although enjoy an occasional line at golf dos etc. I'm one of the youngsters in the club so takes me back to the rebel days

Ah, you're not wrong my friend. I'd like to what the urine samples after your big match in impossibly-romantic Hull against the invincible Lion would have shown up.
By:
drugs or not no way barney can play that well again, specially if not on anything, so unfortunately phil has a free run to the final when he has looked quite beatable.
By:
The odd line is very popular up here.
![]() easier to spot someone who hasn't. |
By:
I actually played much worse alun.couldn't concentrate my head was everywhere nearly thru away a 4 up lead. Maybe next year I won't do a Barney
By:
I was taking it steady but The Lion was off his nut....hang on, drugs test! I could still be Hull Open Champ.
By:
Lol drug tests will be the call at every dinner dance now when they give the champ a mike for a speach

Barney's Championship winning speech, The Bullet, quickly forgotten.
: Who put this thing together? Me, that’s who! Who do I trust? Me! |

found a better walk on tune for Barney.

I'm buzzing after that game, think barneys made my week. Last week was Kirchner. The invisible dart man
By:
Aberdeen , yes, i love golf and play nearly every week.
Lowest ive been is 6, play off 9 right now. there are so many superb courses up here as there are all over Scotland. |
By:
Cosmo, if they stripped The Lion of that title, you'd never be able to set foot in Hull again. You'd basically be Maxine Carr without the new identity.
By:
Yeah aber. Good handicap. I only play once or twice a week over the summer. Of 23 although that will prob be cut after winning this year. Played guy of 12 in final so had 11 stokes
.Never cheated though way handicap. Only won 1 singles in first 2 years |
By:
Will hopefully play right from January this year at range etc. Wanna get better
By:
And I suspect not as pretty as Maxine either.
By:
that is the great thing about golf, you can play with anyone of any ability and have a "friendly" competitive match.
I love it and would play every day if i could. Meet so many different folk on the course as well. Hardly get a calm day up here, that is the only bug bear about playing in the North East. |
By:
Grantkicking is a decent golfer, lower handicap than me.
By:
Have you lads played CRUDEN BAY in Aberdeenshire? I played two rounds there one day about 10 years ago. First 18 in the teeth of a gale, the second (the same day) in as balmy conditions as you could hope for. Brilliant course.
By:
Because we are near the sea we can play pretty much all year round.
Ive played on New Years day before. |
By:
I've been laughing with tears for the last hour - reading the responses on here at watching barney put his hands on Bunting's shoulders . HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA "YOU ARE A WORLD CLASS PLAYER " ! YOU ARE AMAZING ! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

By:
Yeah its a great game although the lower handicappers always moan about your handicap if you beat them. Won nearest the pin at an outing 60 strong that was my only other trophy although shot 100 plus at that event lol
Obviously your a decent player don't think I'd get under ten even if i played every day |
By:
I have not , but it is one of the best if not the best courses up here.
I have played the Donald Trump course, which one day i think will host an Open of some sort. http://www.trumpgolfscotland.com/course |
By:
Alun, that sums up the north east.
no day is the same as far as golf goes, makes consistency very hard as you hit a 3 iron one day, a 8 the next on the same hole depending on the weather. |
