I've read about Norris being unplayable at times in small tournaments but genuinely surprised to see him keep it up over this distance

All players - on either circuit - drop off in quality over a longer match. Just the PDC players have better consistency. The drop offs in BDO seem to be marked, like scoring 45, 45, 43 in consecutive visits.
