180 count after week 9;
Lewis.........46 Barneveld.....36 Taylor........35 Whitlock......32 Wade..........28 Hamilton......27 Anderson......22 Painter.......19 Remember Lewis has played one extra game and misses out next week, whereas Anderson plays twice in one night. There still isn't a market on this event anywhere, though I'd assume Lewis would be at best 4/9, and that's only because he isn't guaranteed to make the play-offs. If any odds for the 'frame' were available (three places in an 8 runner field) Anderson would have been around 1/14 I suspect, and that would have been a monster lay with as much as I could have got my greasy paws on! Maybe next year Betfair could get their act together and provide some entertainment for us, with some interesting markets - we should complain ![]() |

gibberish id be surprised if this market includes the play offs. ive also had a bet on this market and should know but i perhaps wrongly assumed it was regulr season only. previous max markets in the pl have only been reg season.
as for the bloke slating win only thats poor show hes a solid darts punter who knows his stuff and puts his dosh down. recent events in anderson's personal life may shed some light on his poor showing so far. unfortunately for win only rod harrington said anderson to get most 180s was a cert which kind of sealed his fate. |

Knowing your stuff is fine but mug slinging cos someone else has a different opinion will always lead to piss taking and ridicule if things back fire. Hence my first post on this thread. The cards have been dealt. BTW...What's happened to Hugh?

Gretna - that's something I'm not sure about as I didn't monitor last year's market.
I'm not putting the boot in on WOSO, as he may well know his darts, but 'once bitten, twice shy' should by now ring alarm bells when it comes to punting on Anderson - even relative newcomers to the sport must realise this. Anderson recently admitted that the last ten months has been the worst period of his entire career, though to be fair to him, there have been several flashes of brilliance. His personal troubles have been well documented, and so I stand by what I said before a dart was thrown in this tournament, in that he was an insane price. It's all about opinions, and we all get it spectacularly wrong sometimes. For a rare change, I figure I got it spot on and the 7/1 for Lewis really was exceptional value. |
|
By:
all win only said was its time to pack up if you had lewis fav -hardly mud slinging! i agree with him lewis shouldnt have been fav and whilst 1/2 was a poor price 4/5 was attractive if based on pure numbers (but we know there are other factors to figure in- which would equally go against lewis).
win only does tend to come across as very bullish with his picks as if defeat is impossible. well done if lewis takes it - he should now. im on barney at 33/1 so wont give it up just yet- lol |

Gretna, if it helps I bet on this market with 8lsq, and the playoffs DO count. I was surprised they included them as it is easier to price up on regular season, but they did. Fwiw in a previous year I have been stitched up by those ****s at SJ, who one year copied a rivals firms prices, but then paid out differently to the firm they had copied.

Oh dear Gary anderson - 1 x 180 in 25 legs !!!
It's almost unbelievable. I never saw the odds for the player to hit most 180's for last night but when Lewis played 2 games on the same night he was 1/25 ! |
|
By:
D&B - 1/25!
![]() As big a fan as I am of Lewis, they can ALL have just one bad night (or one whopping night - remember Anderson's 15 from last year?) and that would have been a MEGA lay for me! As it panned out, he hit a paltry 5 in his two matches, so the idiotic backers (if anyone was dub enough to take that) got out of jail! 180 count after week 10; Lewis.........46 Taylor........39 Barneveld.....38 Whitlock......36 Hamilton......33 Wade..........30 Painter.......24 Anderson......23 Lewis isn't exactly home yet as there's still some uncertainty as to whether only the first 14 matches count. Besides...10 in a match isn't unheard of and that would really close the gap on Adie. Gretna - whatever way you try to dress it up, all things considered, it was an appalling piece of betting advice from WOSO who totally ignored recent form and other peripheral issues with Anderson. Bottom of the league, and only half as many as Adie Lewis - that would have been 1000 on here! It's a shame for the sport to see Anderson performing so poorly, though he's got a couple of months to get his act together before the big tournaments get under way. |

180 count after week 11;
Lewis.........48 Taylor........44 Barneveld.....40 Whitlock......40 Hamilton......35 Wade..........34 Painter.......27 Anderson......23 Adie's looking like Crisp in the 1973 Grand National, having done his best to squander what looked an unassailable lead. The 10 length gap is now down to just four, and after looking very comfortable a few weeks ago, they're just not going in lately. I did say he should be laid when he went odds-on...anything can happen in this game! |

Does anyone know where Win only - Sp only has got to?
I really need to ask him what his second best 4/5 shot of the year is Got myself into a bit of a hole you see Has he given up the game do you think? |
|
By:
Unnecessary comment Eldrick, especially from someone who clearly considers themselves such a pro.
Regardless of what has happened, there was nothing whatsoever wrong with taking 4-5. No, I wasn't on - wouldn't have been able to get on. But over 14 weeks he was a huge favourite to come out on top (don't know how it would translate odds wise with 8 runners but certainly shorter than 4-5). I won't bore you with the stats - suffice to say, prior to this season's PL, even when he has struggled in terms of results he has always nailed the maximums at a higher rate than anyone else. But Hugh nailed it by flagging up what was exceptional value on Lewis. |

Where is Hugh with a 180's table update? Do you think it's his real name?

Silverback - I have a hunch that Hugh & Gibberish may well be the same irritating entity
![]() Anyone who watches darts regularly, must KNOW that the likes of Anderson & Barney are ALWAYS worth opposing at short odds, though they have the class to beat ANYONE, and are well worth following when you can sniff a bit of value. If anyone cares to check on the highest averages (which obviously includes all the missed doubles) then there's only Barney that seems capable of challenging Taylor's undoubted supremacy. As good as Lewis is...he never seems to be able to hack BOTH aspects of the game (YET) in scoring and finishing consistently in the same match - that's what keeps Taylor above them all, even though there's only Lewis who seems to have the belief before, during & after that he can nail The Power! It should be remembered that Lewis is a different animal since Deller's intervention, and he is only going to get even better! D&B doesn't seem to rate the bloke as much as I do and doesn't have him in his top 10 of all time, whereas I think he's already challenging for the number two spot! The rest (quality players like Anderson, Wade, Barney & Whitlock) are like rabbits in the headlights against Taylor and are visibly intimidated, whereas Lewis has the belief he is the heir apparent. |

Once a chucker....
![]() Taylor & Lewis both pulled out of the european tour event in Austria last week through illness. Yeah right! Pull the other one! |

Any idea why DNB? Heard a rumour of something to do with appearance fees?

I was replying silver but taylor seemed to explain his absence. A winning purse of only £15k for 3/4 days in Austria and no tv coverage must be a real strain for him to get out of bed for

180 count after FINAL week 14;
Lewis.........58 Taylor........52 Whitlock......50 Barneveld.....47 Hamilton......43 Wade..........41 Painter.......34 Anderson......31 Are they the final standings or are the semis & final included? |
|
By:
Gibberish, the ones on here who placed a bet on the market from the outset will surely know if it's league only or finals night as they'd have been paid out if by now if it's league only? I did say Lewis wasn't a shoe in during the weeks a market was still available as me may not even qualify. This as we now know was the case. I fancy Taylor to top the overall 180 table as i can see the Hammer taking Whitlock out in the semi @ a very tasty 2/1.
