Commentators have to keep the possibility of all 3 results in the minds of punters. It must be 1/100 SA now.

You didn't call anything WD. In fact the complete opposite. How much have you got left. You must have exhausted your funds by know with your record.

Still cheating these Aussies. Clearly hit the ground first.

No sandpaper today?

New ball hat trick? 2 overs left with this one.

And still Captain Hindsight does not make a comment about cricket, sad little loser. After timing but cannot even after time now. Shown up as a BMW and his team is lost without sandpaper

He has a private box at Ascot. I can hear him already

“ shoe shine “

Sadly his daddy didn’t teach him the difference between Shiite and shinola!

What on earth is Verreynne thinking? Just drop the ball in fron tof you and run. Academic now! Well done SA. Didn't have a penny in bets but watched more than half of the 4 days of play. Terrific entertainment.

I hope they find some money because they are great competitors and cricket is the better for them competing sting with the big three.

Unlikely to happen elis unless Saudi throw loadsa cash into it.

The current format while not perfect is acceptable. Strange going’s on as India wanted to host but the ICC has given England the next 3 finals. I think it is right the final is held here and at Lords at last. We gave the game to the Empire. Cricket is still only largely played in former British ( English ) Colonies. Most Test players imho want to play at Lords. Cricket is our gift to the World and civilisation.

The idea of fair play is the right one. In practice of course cricket, cricketers and officials are as corrupt and cheat as much as anybody else but cricket fans like the English people ( not the Governing Class though ) believe in the idea of fair play and the spirit of the game.

Perfidious Albion indeed but the ordinary English man believes in fair play and support for the underdog against the bully.

Cricket is also such a traditional game and its history is so important to all of us. What we need more than anything else is some of this tv money being used to pay for grounds men and coaches in less well off countries. Even South Africa is struggling. We need stronger  competition and the Big 3 lose their dominance of our game. The wins fir NZ and SA have been a breath of fresh air for all of us.

Just backed the draw again Engerlund v India

Could be warm sunny weather. Bumrah apart it don’t mean a thing if it ain’t got no swing!

Long shot and another Hail Mary Play but at 13.5 worthy of a punt.

India might lack batting experience but IF the clouds don’t appear they are more than capable of putting up a big score batting first possibly even more batting second. The forecast is not showing any rain so the pitch might be dry. I’d be inclined to back the side batting first with cover on the draw at 13.5!

Too far out to call but I think 13.5 / 14 on the draw is crazy too

pretty inexperienced india batting line up without kohli and sharma and england don't do draws without 2 days of rain. that said hardly any of england's bowlers you could say were reliable at the moment

Don’t disagree but my view is if there is rain pending it will swing. I think it might be sunny. Either team could bat the first two days and the other could bat 3 and 4 although England might be 450 at the end of day 1. It’s just a long odds punt. It might also be dry and take spin 4 and 5 so yes a result is likely.
