With the T20 Blast resuming next weekend , how typical that the weather patterns have changed now after such a dry summer.
Let us hope the rain stays away from OT next Saturday to allow a full game to take place. It's a disgrace that we have had a 7 week gap between the Group games and the QF , all to accommodate the bleedin' Hundred. Next season it looks like sense will prevail as plans are to have the knockout stages follow straight on from the groups (3 groups of 6 counties). |

Agree mate, it has ruined the British cricket season and can only succeed in lowering standards. How on earth can we produce good county cricketers when the have to play in the most of their games in spring or late summer.
It does not make any sense unless of course money is your only consideration. |

Good win for Rufford in a low scoring game at Eccleston yesterday. Tight finish won by 12 runs.
Another win should see us safe. |

Thats what you get for having a woman on DRS Dragon ! Terrible decision imo, but if they are in any doubt has to stay with umpire on the field i suppose.
Biggest bugbear is with the ECB and the scheduling (yet again). Lancs had half a team missing due to the SA series, seems unfair. Why they allowed such a clash is beyond me and shows how inept they are. |

Really felt for Lanky , by comparison we had Fortuin needing to come back from Manchester last night and obviously Dawson but Lanky really hard done by , add that to the Livi misfortune and they'll feel it hasn't been their day through absolutely no fault of their own.

When 100-1 after 8 overs around 220 would have to be the target from there so that's when a big advantage was lost i'd say.
Onwards and upwards to the final next Saturday vs Worcester in Nottingham , it's an 11am start so hope we chase as can't even watch batting first with these morning starts when the game can be lost but not won. |

That Livingstone review was dreadful, just what was she doing saying "I can clearly see a gap between bat and ball".
I can clearly see a gap between her ears! Keep the lady officials to Ladies cricket where such incompetence will not matter as much. |

Lancashire said they had submitted a complaint to the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) about the decision which saw Livingstone given out for 29.
The club said they have "formally expressed disappointment" to the governing body. |

Hi Dragon, won 4 of last 5. Needed 3 points yesterday against bottom of league to stay up and game washed out, any of 6 teams could have gone down had the games been on. So the status quo remained and we have gone down to div 1. Very unfortunate but we paid the price for a bad start. The seconds got promoted again so some good news. Hopefully back up next year.
Poor day with the football and horses too hope you fared a bit better. |

Lancashire finished 5th of 8 in Div 2 winning just 3 matches.
Too much one day cricket taking a chunk of talent away does not help of course but it does highlight the lack of quality overall in the squad. Hope some young talent emerges for next season. |

BTW, Great game at Rufford Yesterday. Kirkham 261/6 Rufford in reply 260/5 lost by 1 run. Wanted 9 off the last over and just missed out. |
