If Root gets to 10,000 runs today, he will be exactly the same age as Cook... to the day!

Going point but Nasser. The ball was swinging v when they changed it, pretty stupid from NZ

Cook averaged 45 in a golden age gif batting with flat decks

NZ touched 1.16 when Stokes was 'out' to de G

Root is quite possible the best English batsmen I have seen in 50 Years. Kevin Pietersen is the best batsman I have seen play for Engerland and I saw Boycott, Gooch and Gower.

great stuff from Root

The Big Man’s run out yesterday really let England back into this game and now look!
|
|
By:
Again, why would you change the ball when it was swinging! Costly mistake!
|
|
By:
2 key events that swung the match were Broad's '3' wkts in the one over and the egregious no bowl from de G
|
|
By:
Yes. I was out gif gif no ball but you are spot on. Thd three wickets in an over could and should have been only one.

been an absorbing test match with both teams deemed to be in the ascendancy at different times
way better than a 5 day draw where bowlers toil the 5th and 6th wkt partnerships have ensured the rope-a-dope master plan has been executed to perfection |

10,000 runs and a hundred at the same time, perfect symmetry

Cook and Root both reached 10,000 runs aged 31 years and 157 days
Mind blowing stuff |

Another superb Test Match and shows you just why Test Match Cricket, is the very best sport in the world. This game went 1 way, then another and back again in just over 3 days play. Congratulations to Joe Root 10,000 Test Match reaching it with yet another great 100. well played to Ben Foakes on a great supporting role in the winning partnership.

Root can concentrate on his batting and Stokes will be a better captain and leader
No one will fook with his lads type mentality |

Hi all.
I missed most of this match, sadly and didn't get to save the odds graphs. Did anyone else? What were the peak and lowest odds traded in reasonable size for each outcome at various key stages. I'm sure I saw 90s on the draw before it came back to sub 10s and I thought one or other team went to 20s early doors. |

nz were at least 16 on friday afternoon before the england collapse

VV - this won't be far wide:
NZ touched 21, with decent sums at 19, before lows of under 1.2. England tickled 7.0 and again decent volume at and above 6.0. Draw went out to 90 and came back to 6.0-7.0 for chunks. |
