I would love to see this forum going again as Tests was truly amazing on here, unfortunately since PXB and Jucel left things have never been the same.Blush
Anyway I've layed my 3s of NZ at 1.53 and lumped on Eng.
New ball first thing with some slightly overcast conditions and we could see a few early wickets.

Good call whizz. Good test to bet on. Unfortunately been a bit busy to get involved.

The problem remains we have our bowlers who can be very effective in Blighty when conditions permit but otherwise are cannon fodder. The Briad wicket in the afternoon session was a strangle. They seem to have little guile or idea.

I said earlier the batting could be improved by a fit Jeffrey Archer and I wasn’t joking.

I find it strange that most English batsmen have glaring technical deficiencies which have not been addressed by coaching.

As long as you are not emotionally invested watching Engerland is a trip!

How many more do you think NZ need? This has not been a high-scoring game so far.

You must be enjoying this JohnnyLaugh

When does sadness and pity come?

I am guessing Johnny you are a convict and rather than see a competitive Ashes you would rather see the jailers crushed?

But shirley as a cricket fan you want to see some sort of fight?

Very cloudy here Foinavon

Not sure play will start on time but if NZ declare this game wound be over by lunch with current overheads assuming no rain.

As it is I suggest thd Match will be concluded by tea.

Strong breeze has moved the clouds on but is Broad on the charge? Scrambled scream with the new ball looked a little desperate to me. Difficult to call now as thd ball is not swinging yet and the sun is out bug the lacquer  will wear off and there are clouds coming.

Oh dear how stupidly casual from the Big Man!

This is good from a betting perspective

Thanks WD, I suspected they has enough runs already and 50 more would be icing.
As the start was delayed, I went for a soak and have missed all the action.

Do not write the Engerland off here!

Weather is half decent. Still a strong breeze to disperse the clouds. Lords day 3 pitch and even Alex Lees is hitting extra cover drives against a new ball!

No I don’t believe in miracles but if this new ball is not a swinger and we get to 30 overs then this is a different game. See what happens when the lacquer wears off too.

I don’t have much faith in these batsmen if the ball swings but Crawley could make runs if it remains flat

Good start from England and yet again poor technique.

Commentators got it covered. He doesn’t know where off stump is. He moves around the crease, he let one go coming down the hill!

Desperate school boy error just when they had survived the early overs. Somehow they must survive to tea for only 1 or 2 more wickets and then go after the softer ball and tiring bowlers.

England making a much better fist of it than I thoughts - thank goodness for Stokes and Root. However I can envisage a collapse in the morning

There were some good price swings today. I hope there will be one more tomorrow although I would like to see England win for a change and give the new skipper a boost.

I need Root to go in the first couple of overs in the morning. Got myself in a great position early yesterday and then went a bit tits up.
I'm still Eng 0,N.Z 2.5 green, Draw 0.4 green.
There's been plenty of twists during this test and it's most likely to continue tomorrow or at least I hope, lol

Note to self: go to the street party and don't get sidetracked by getting greedy and seeking to boost your green book by taking another position at this stage. Remember India against NZ in Southampton and how you squandered your trading profit by not believing that NZ had a chance on the last day.
By:

Damp, heavy cloud, no wind.

Don’t expect to start on time. I thin  on even the old ball might swing if they polish it on a morning like this

. Too hard to cal. Early wicket of Root and its all change but only 60 to defend?

Are you going to reserve judgement on Foakes v Bstard until later today Cardinal?

Dreadful shot by Bstard. Commentators gif it right… the shot of a brain dead moron!
By:

Bstard is just 1 day player, can't play Test Cricket on any surface where the ball is moving around

He has missed something like 51 straight balls in his Test career!
