I can't remember a test match getting so little media coverage as this one. I thought it was starting next week as I had seen so little coverage. The BBC website does not even have a team list. Anyone know where there is one?

regarding the weather, it should be dry for the first 3 days which is plenty of time for England to lose a test.

little rain forecast at all for sunday/monday. McCullum is an outstanding leader, whether he can change England in such a short space of time is doubtful, but he will improve the side, perhaps he might be able to bring out a last hoorah from Jimmy Anderson if he does, then Stuart Broad will bowl well as well, which will make England dangerous, although not so much at Lords

Jimmy Jimmy Anderson!!!!! Derby winner against selling platers among England bowlers.

By:
Wow. Didn't se this coming but England have to bat as well. For once the catching has been faultless.

First impressions of Potts are great, looks right at home with the confidence/exuberance of youth.
As one of the commentators said, excellent time to blood him - when he couldn't be more in form if he tried. |

Some good cricket today. Expect Engerland to win this comfortably now………….

I like Crawley but he needs a coach. Shocking dismissal.
Right hand too far down the handle. Poor foot movement. Shoulder big often pointing to where ball is going. He us doppisex to be a professional at the top of his game. What do coaches do? |
|
By:
and 100 minutes later, we're struggling almost desperatly, as Englands tail don't hit the ball (Broad appart), which is how New Zealand got their way to 132.

5 wkts for 8 runs in 28 runs..looks like the batting has massively improved under McCullum
he'll be looking to go back with his compadres when this little series is over fk this poisoned chalice BS he'll remark! |

28 balls..u know what i mean

1st inns lead must've been a million on..now?!
|
|
By:
no wonder T20s are flavour of the month..they last longer than test matches now as well!
|
|
By:
this is what i don't understand..they are a dozen or so overs short of what should've been bowled
yet in glorious sunshine with 2 1/2 hrs remaining daylight they are coming off they should be MADE to bowl the allotted amount |
|
By:
Christ the match could be over by the evening session tomorrow, if they did that, although I do somewhat I agree with that comment johnny.

All that has changed is that the collapse happened later in the innings. Evens each of two in my opinion now.

Well played England

Jesus, it's been a while since I've been on here, wtf has happened?
Has everyone given up on Tests, BF or the community? Grim days for the community. Anyway N.Z look good value at 3s |

Everyone's gone skint following Whisperings tips.

Kiwis the value bet here. If they can knock the tail over fairly quickly they’ve got all day batting in the sun on what should be a decent deck
|
|
By:
Still can’t believe we collapsed from 50 odd for none against an attack with de grandhomme in it.

huge 1st inns lead should more or less guarantee Eng can't lose from here at the very least

Really is a joy watching Anderson and Southee bowl this morning also watching Williamson trying to keep him out
|

This kid looks like a decent bowler but will he be able to effective outside of England’s green and pleasant land? I am not sure

When we do well, it's poor opposition. When we do poorly, we are rubbish. Simple.

Failure Cardinal?
He outscored Bstard by 7-1 Tremendous figures! Took some good catches although Johnny did too. Funny enough I do like Bstard at 7 but I just don’t think he is a top drawer keeper. Foakes did not impress in the Caribbean. I do know what the answer is though. A fit Jeffrey Archer! It will be interesting to see how our attack fares when the pitch is docile and the ball is soft. 3 low 80’s trundlers is not a Test Match solution. |
|
By:
once Albion got to 133 this test was all but over
|
|
By:
Tbf we knew how this would go when the ball went soft!
Never forsake the dragon Johnny. Root or Stokes could still win this for England but I wouldn’t bet on it! |
|
By:
what i want to know is..HTF does a 2nd rate(at best) associate country get to host a test series against the World's no.1

only rain can save England here
|

pie bowling from Albion now the pitch has flattened coupled with their pie batting..not exactly the best recipe for success
letting Her Majesty down bigtime..off to the tower with this shower once again Big Sam(the obvious candidate for the job) has been overlooked! |
