I’ve laid England at a silly price and taken a profit, evens was ridiculous!
By:
Could be very competitive, this series.
Wood needs to be fully fit. |
By:
Doesn’t he just!
By:
well, this is unprecedented-Eng losing early wkts for jack
one can only ascribe it to a combination of Convid and the boy Vlad, innit! |
By:
Just turned to the channel and sure enough, England are 27/3. Are they now the worst of the test playing nations?

![]() I can’t help but laugh at the bleedin’ obvious! This pitch looks like a bit of a road in the making. It might die or it might crack up. I would not want to bat last. It might be Engerland who have to bat last though. Not sure what to do with my money. |

I wish to reply to Brentford to a question he asked some moments ago on a different fred.
Basically you wrap it round you index or middle finger, insert and move it up and down and round and round vigorously. Then when done you use the corner of the paper you have torn off to clean your finger nail ! |
By:
At th3 risk of th3 curse...Dan Lawrence looks like he has cleaned up his technique a little. I think he is a fine player and kn3 fi4 The present but looked goddam awful in his last outing. Batting coaches should have been sacked but not for smoking a cigar!

.........and thank you very much
![]() 40 something for 4 Kwality! |

I feared as much regarding your 15.01 post WD....

Jonny B's body language is excellent today, purposeful.
Whispers you have been clamouring for Foakes for a long time, possibly 3 years now you've got him and we will now see. |
By:
Anyone else lost all interest in English Test cricket.? I use to sit up for a few hours in the early hours to watch it,
But now the whole outfit from top to bottom needs changing. I would have test cricket over all the one day Gimmicks, its a shame the people in charge of English Cricket don't think the same. |
By:
Yup
Not totally but yup. Unfortunately it’s in the blood. I can’t walk away......yet. Tbh I am kinda enjoying India play Test Cricket. I really enjoyed them winning in Aus |

Cardinal
I still think this a good batting wicket, well maybe not good but easy paced. England’s best batters are Root, Stokes, Bstard and hopefully Foakes. Woakes can bat on a flat and slow pitch and is not up against extreme pace. Not sure why but I have backed The Engerland at 2.12 I think it should flatten out for a couple of days and the ball is getting soft now. Not sure about how the game will end so may cash out if England post a tofal |
By:
I must admit culling Broad and Anderson in the way they did (saying it had nothing to do with Root, when everyone knows it is).
How can they expect eveyone to get behind after that. I have had a bit of 5/2 a Windies win. |
By:
Foakes doing okay.
By:
The pattern of low scores for the first 4 wickets and then some recovery has gone on for far too long. They just can't play new ball bowlers.
By:
Great to hear David Gower commentating again after being dumped by Sky.
By:
There is a little low bounce. I cannot see a draw here but am tempted at 4.4
By:
Looked plum
By:
Shame for Foakes he looked in complete control. Still moves the game in. Glad I held off the draw. Mark Wood with the odd low bounce nit good!
England get anywhere near 300, which, is still a long way off and they are in the box seat |
By:
Gone in again at 1.78
As long as the pitch does not die I really think that England are a big price. Close to 300 which is usually par here. This pitch is slow and dry and the winds are are drying it out. We have seen some uneven bounce particularly low bounce, which, will help our bowlers who are faster and in Wood we have a wrecker I think on this. Not much rain. Pretty poor batting outfits and the ball is swinging when new although it does go soft. WI did not exploit any reverse but I think our boys might. Leach might also get help as the pitch dry’s and WI bat last. |
By:
Can't fault any of that, WD.
Hoping for a match here, so wouldn't mind seeing WI 120/2. |
By:
Yup WI need to bat 25-30 overs for the loss of 2 wickets or less, which, they can do. They are more attuned to Test Match batting of late.
Still happy to be on England. 30-0 and I will top up! |
By:
John Campbell has been a walking wicket each and every time I have seen him bat.
But, if swipes don't go to hand, he can score quickly with all the edges over slips ![]() |
By:
Judging by England's ten-plus tick move between innings, could be an extremely juicy top-up at 30-0.
Might even tempt me out of the long grass |
By:
Looks like they picked the wrong ball out of the box!
Market knows it. Batting looks easy atm No swing! |
By:
1.68 -> 1.8 was before they'd delivered a ball.
Market might have remembered we're overseas and our attack is led by Woakes and Overton, mind you ![]() |
By:
Yes!
I have reversed out of everything for a minuscule loss! Still fancy England thoug( so will look for a better opportunity Will see what Wood can do. Not much I suspect on a rolled pitch but when it wears off or wears we shall se |
By:
Here we go
I think the pitch is too slow for him right now |
By:
Desperate start with ball by Eng, if Kraigg Brathwaite is going at nearly a run a ball you know something is wrong.
By:
True dat but Campbell is not going to last and Leach might well have a role to play here. I am buying Engerland on the way up.
By:
Oh dear dreadful ball and worse shot
By:
Very important wicket. He is a very good player.
By:
Blackwood looking very jumpy/edgy in the early stages here.
Decent case that WI's 6, 7 & 8 are each a spot too high, also but I'm hoping for another partnership somewhere. |
By:
No I am back on The Engerland so WI all out for 200 or so would be nice. Their tail is weak although they can slog.
By:
Tough not to see an England win but I want at least four days out of this.
No more non-contests like The Ashes served up. I want a series as close to the SA India beauty as possible, please. |
By:
Neither side is very good. England have slightly faster bowlers which helps with reverse. Should be a close series
By:
These two batting really well. Shows there are currently no terrors in the pitch.....yet
They ought to give Leach a go, certainly towards the end of play. |
