Will this test series have more interest for gambling addicts than the T20 series in the West Indies? Oh to be sitting on the lawn of the Blue Water Hotel preparing to head to the stadium. Eng have to be a lay after the Ashes surely?
This pitch looks like a bit of a road in the making. It might die or it might crack up.
I would not want to bat last. It might be Engerland who have to bat last though.
Not sure what to do with my money.

I wish to reply to Brentford to a question he asked some moments ago on a different fred.
Basically you wrap it round you index or middle finger, insert and move it up and down and round and round vigorously. Then when done you use the corner of the paper you have torn off to clean your finger nail!

At th3 risk of th3 curse...Dan Lawrence looks like he has cleaned up his technique a little. I think he is a fine player and kn3 fi4 The present but looked goddam awful in his last outing. Batting coaches should have been sacked but not for smoking a cigar!

Jonny B's body language is excellent today, purposeful.
Whispers you have been clamouring for Foakes for a long time, possibly 3 years now you've got him and we will now see.

Anyone else lost all interest in English Test cricket.? I use to sit up for a few hours in the early hours to watch it, But now the whole outfit from top to bottom needs changing. I would have test cricket over all the one day Gimmicks, its a shame the people in charge of English Cricket don't think the same.

Not totally but yup. Unfortunately it’s in the blood. I can’t walk away......yet.
Tbh I am kinda enjoying India play Test Cricket. I really enjoyed them winning in Aus

I still think this a good batting wicket, well maybe not good but easy paced.
England’s best batters are Root, Stokes, Bstard and hopefully Foakes. Woakes can bat on a flat and slow pitch and is not up against extreme pace.
Not sure why but I have backed The Engerland at 2.12
I think it should flatten out for a couple of days and the ball is getting soft now. Not sure about how the game will end so may cash out if England post a tofal

I must admit culling Broad and Anderson in the way they did (saying it had nothing to do with Root, when everyone knows it is). How can they expect eveyone to get behind after that. I have had a bit of 5/2 a Windies win.

Shame for Foakes he looked in complete control. Still moves the game in. Glad I held off the draw. Mark Wood with the odd low bounce nit good!
England get anywhere near 300, which, is still a long way off and they are in the box seat

As long as the pitch does not die I really think that England are a big price.
Close to 300 which is usually par here. This pitch is slow and dry and the winds are are drying it out. We have seen some uneven bounce particularly low bounce, which, will help our bowlers who are faster and in Wood we have a wrecker I think on this.
Not much rain. Pretty poor batting outfits and the ball is swinging when new although it does go soft. WI did not exploit any reverse but I think our boys might. Leach might also get help as the pitch dry’s and WI bat last.

Yup WI need to bat 25-30 overs for the loss of 2 wickets or less, which, they can do. They are more attuned to Test Match batting of late.
Still happy to be on England. 30-0 and I will top up!

John Campbell has been a walking wicket each and every time I have seen him bat.
But, if swipes don't go to hand, he can score quickly with all the edges over slips

I have reversed out of everything for a minuscule loss!
Still fancy England thoug( so will look for a better opportunity
Will see what Wood can do. Not much I suspect on a rolled pitch but when it wears off or wears we shall se

Blackwood looking very jumpy/edgy in the early stages here.
Decent case that WI's 6, 7 & 8 are each a spot too high, also but I'm hoping for another partnership somewhere.

Tough not to see an England win but I want at least four days out of this.
No more non-contests like The Ashes served up. I want a series as close to the SA India beauty as possible, please.

These two batting really well. Shows there are currently no terrors in the pitch.....yet
They ought to give Leach a go, certainly towards the end of play.

I've conspired to seriously butcher a decent setup, and comfortably more than halved my green since I had my evening meal.
Calling that a night.
Pitch seems slow and fairly easy still.
I've no horse in the race but I'll take tight first innings so I can hopefully trade some back when I wake up fresh and ready tomorrow. Grrrr.
Good luck in the meantime

Pitch is dying . Look at the last 2 tests here against Sri Lanka it gets easier to bat second innings both ending in draws albeit slight rain interruptions.

I make the sam3 mistakes constantly too. I buy and hold early in the game. I should have bought the draw at 6’s and WI’s I think at 8 yesterday.
Too busy counting my winnings when England were 1.6. To my credit I did cash out at one point and buy back at a better rate but Day 1 and 2 in a Test Match I think it pays to buy between 6 and 10 when sides are matched
Pretty confident England will win, certainl6 if the new ball dies the trick this morning. Pitch still looks flat but may not deteriorate until late day 4/5
Low bounce is featuring more

can't ever see MightyAlbion being anything other than a bang average Associate member
their 'bowling' is woefully toothless,so dire it makes their pathetically gutless batting look half good

I didn’t plan for that. Was more worried that would happen in the 4th innings.
I still think a result is possible and a draw lay would be the bet as both these sides can bat badly although it does look like a draw atm.
Plenty of sun today and more cross winds so anything is possible. Quite dull to watch I have to say.

Not easy to see England's price shortening - only really runs *and* wickets that can see that happen.
Either runs or wickets, on their own, push each of the other results down, but not ours.

I think Crawley has got the game (admittedly almost all of that based on a monster v Pakistan).
Just waiting for the head to catch up (so he becomes more selective)
Or the eyes to catch up (ala Smith, so he can play those 'dangerous' shots with impunity because he never misses)

These two are fluent scorers so hoping they move the game on but another wicket will give me an opportunity to clear my draw red, which, I think is the most likely result.

Draw now nailed on, unless England had a ridiculous collapse. Commentators babbling on about England will declare with a lead of 180-200 and hpe to bowl them out in 2 sessions. They must watch another game to everone else. England won't declare until is out of Windies reach, which will be around just after lunch and with the ball doing absolutly nothing apart from when its new. I can't see England even declaring.

Bad luck with the rain, 40 or 50 runs last night would have moved the game on. I can’t see England giving WI’s a sniff but I would like to see them go after the bowling this morning to try and set something up.

1.28 the draw..q big as it goes tho' it could go near 1.5 were they to lose early wkts but i thought their middle to lower order looked q comfortable in the 1st inns so really can't see them not holding on for the draw tho' they have previous for collapses on this particular pitch and our less than deadly bowling think one can fill ones boots on the draw for the big odds on backers imho

I doubt they'll make a difference to the outcome but...
not reviewing the last one (presumably because it was our last review) and then reviewing that complete punt ten minutes later
