1st close encounter, bit of pressure, crumble against Saffer chokers, ain't winning jack
By:
F off home SA very lucky the hat trick balls all in the slot 2 caught on the edge especially the 1st 1 without the Roy injury England would have pi55ed it

By:
would've,could've,should've..typical,jingoistic bellend who knows sweet FA about anything

It was a given that they would qualify, but once Butler was out they were never in prime position to win the game. It gave the rest of the team a chance to play an innings of substance, but it never happened. I would be surprised if they end up winning.

i think they'll end up with the easiest semi in as much as it will take a miracle for India to make it,most likely NZ who are in and out and who i don't see Eng losing to
Pak/Aus will be good..Pak look a different animal this tournament,Aus on a roll Eng still capable of winning the WC but the sycophantic Sky bigging up is not necessarily a reflection of where they're truly at been a great tournament, nowt wrong with 'pyjama' cricket imho all formats are great in my book |

not much went right for england today and they still nearly got up chasing a huge score and without buttler getting many. good for the middle order to get a run out
By:
2 big injuries already and Wood is hardly Mr Reliable - Bairstow opening isnt the end of the world, but Mills is a huge miss - they might need to think about Willey to get more variety in the attack.
I no longer think we're strong enough to cope with losing the toss and batting first so will lose to whoever we lose a toss against - Aus got mauled by their media when we beat them but some of their big players are starting to find touch - really hope I'm wrong but they're getting things right at the right time |

I think England are well placed. NZ spinner is not going to rattle through them. We have more depth to our batting. They have 3 very good seam / swing / bowlers who may or may not be negated by dew or a grassless pitch.
Aussie have a bigger ask against Pakistan. Paks attack might be the best in the Tournament and Afridi they have a spearhead who is backed up. Their batting is strong but with the openers going so well how much batting have they had. Same with Aussie middle order who have not been in the middle much last week. It would be exciting if Afghans beat NZ today but that is a big ask but what a semi final Engerland Indiaaah would be! |
By:
Kiwis looking good,Eng will have to be on their A game to beat them
By:
I wouldn't rule out an Antipodean final
By:
Let’s hope not. England V Pakistan is what I want to see.
and Engerland winning! |
By:
Anyone fancy Pakistan at 1.9 v Aussie?
By:
no. a better price will come.
By:
Really fancy this England batting line up even against the dew.
By:
Fancy New Zealand here bowling really well so far
By:
England struggling here
By:
I thought they peaked to soon in those 2nd and 3rd games
They then lost to a poor SA team |
By:
They need Buttler early
By:
England aren’t at the races at all

Excellent start by England against the swing. This really is the time for no fear. See off Southee and Boult then attack whatever is next in 2 over segments. We bat all the way down so every two overs is vital to win. Hit out with purpose to agreed plans and hitting areas against particular bowlers and if you are out you are out. Too many big hitters in the hutch. I am liking this from England.
By:
Don't agree Sonts. this is a very good bowling attack. Milne has been kwality all summer. Malan will take his time here so maybe that is ok as it will protect our hitters but Malan has to hit out kwickly. No point dot dot Dhoning

By:
Would have liked to have seen Billings or Livingstone in early against the spin.
By:
Somebody needs to either attack or get out and get a lefty in!
By:
England going nowhere here
By:
Well played New Zealand
By:
Awful performance from England
By:
Come on Moen!
By:
Looking forward to this guys second coming in Test Cricket. he looks really good. Not convinced at T20 but today could be Malan's day
By:
New Zealand have bowled well but England do have plenty of batting left for the 2nd half here, but fancy NZ
By:
I thought we were just racists? They seem to love this team out there
By:
What?
By:
Afraid I blinked first. Pressure got to much. I have reached for the Gordon's, slice of fresh grapefruit.
By:
It would help if England allowed every wide ball to go past, get an extra and another ball. Why on earth do they play them, risk getting out, and get a single if they are lucky.
By:
a little easier sitting in an armchair sipping a GnT. Takes a lot of guts and intelligence to leave a ball in T20 but smart.
Just watched the last ball of the final over in T20 World Cup bowled by Jeffrey Archer to Guptill. It was a wide if he had stood his ground! Scores even 1 ball to play. |
By:
Well done Moen. Hit out or get out. Completely unselfish!
By:
Yes Sah!
By:
Need a big finish now, this is finely balanced.
That 6 is a good start !! |
By:
Oh dear
. |
By:
![]() Get Livingstone in. Hit out or get out time. Swing! |
By:
Slow low bounce is going to be England’s undoing
