If a match is postponed or abandoned for any reason other than weather (which may include but is not limited to: dangerous or unplayable wicket or outfield; pitch vandalism; strike or boycott; crowd protests/violence; floodlight failure; stadium damage; acts of terrorism; and acts of God), Betfair reserves the right to void all bets on this market. The rules are pretty clear here, this market was always going to be voided
How does that make it clear?
If weather causes power cut will it be void or settled bet? They don't know, they cant give an answer to me.
If weather causes flooded outfield it will be settled even though that clearly conflicts with their void rule "unplayable" outfield - Massive contradiction.
If hurricane cause match abandonment it will be decided at the time by betfair staff! Why? It's 100% a weather affected game.
If weather takes out a floodlight and the match is abandoned - They can't answer.
If weather causes flooding before a ball is bowled - They reserve the right....
Way, way too much ambiguity! They should just make things simple and remove all this nonsense.
Completely match - Yes, No without the bs.

Agree Bob, tomtimtum is completely ignoring my words. Even with weather being the reason for abandonment they reserve the right depending on how much they traded in the game. It's criminal and should be looked into.

If you are in betfair and you have the power to void an outcome you will, as we noticed when "yes" hit 1.7 against an hour of tweets to the contrary! They can smash the odds one way and not lose if the outcome is different to their risk. This should be illegal, all ambiguity must be removed to prevent inside trading based on legal ambiguity.
Except there isn't any ambiguity, Betfair was always going to void this market

No they reserve the right to void because they can't cover every possible eventuality in their rules and will have to make judgement calls.
Will these be controversial? Possibly
If you don't like it, don't bet on these markets
