knew I'd get a reaction from WD if I prodded him on food arrangements

I am heavily on England now but think India may well end up winning this game

Dont start Brent. My biggest conundrum today is rum and coke or Sauvignon Blanc!
I have some jerk pork fir lunch/ breakfast. I’s say 11am is a perfectly acceptable time to start drinking |
By:
Not much to be gained being on Eng south of 3.0 is there?
By:
The question of etiquette is.........is it wrong to drink rum and coke in bed with the electric blanket on?
So many difficult questions today. |
By:
Drinking rum and coke under an electric blanket? Time to turn in your man card WD

WDthink Eng may well need to be bowling at all the right times, can't imagine the oldy will do much under lights on this type of surface for seamers, I suppose you could get it reversing on such an abrasive surface (virtually all pink ball games have been played on surfaces with some grass on) but dew would presumably scupper that if it comes in ..little bit of encouragement from one lifting on Root earlier at least form a seamers pov - Archer will need to be in the mood which is never guaranteed. |

some knock that from Zak - showing good positivity without any hint of recklessness

Ritchie I am 3.78 England
I do expect them to shorten this afternoon. The pitch and ball should have settled down by then. There will be a realisation that this will become a more and more difficult pitch to bat on and bat second. India will need to bat long and get nearer 400+ to win this match. |
By:
Yep, England need to be batting 5 sessions here to win the game and be bowling with the new ball vs India tomorrow evening under the lights
By:
nice to see LL playing the 'hard working Northerner' to WD's 'Privileged Soft Southerner '

That England tail is as long as I've seen it for a while

Woah!
On over 54.5 for Crawley too! |

Brent I think the dew is the big unknown in this Test. Will it negate swing and seam and also bugger up the ball?
By:
fair enough WD, I just see the Eng price being sticky around 3.0
By:
Tom I had to put my Batman on Furlough and I don’t know where he put my smoking jacket!
By:
thats out for me
By:
Ritchie
I think that price will be busted if these two can bat fir the best part of two hours but not it could be game over. Root never looked comfortable today but that looks out |
By:
Wow
Talk about luck bad luck |
By:
all out before tea and bowling with the new ball under lights this evening

looked more out than hawkeye had it

India could be batting under lights!

Think India felt they have won the game with tha5 wicket and unless Stokes attacks after lunch I think they have
By:
Really unfortunate there as I think 3 was going to be breached and batting this afternoon might have been easier

That’s what I’m talking ‘bout Stokes!

I don’t think Pope has looked good all tour despite what commentators say. Foakes is last hope for England. Foakes and Stokes. India may not even have to bat last here!
By:
Lunch bad luck Umpires call again
Looked out though |
By:
would have suited Eng to have the 40 min break here, should surely be a bit less turn after sun down you'd think
By:
Incredible session. I need a drink. The only consolation for England is they may do damage with the new ball and India may have to bat last....may

I swear at some point we will see this type of thing in a pink ball Test soon and the circumstances could bring up the possibility here:
England 160/8 with two tail enders prodding away just after tea and the ball starts to hoop. Time to declare. |
By:
I think if they went into tea 2 down they were massively in this game. Like yo7 said pitc( May be easier after tea and confidence in the hutch increases.
