is the pitch misbehaving? only tuned in a few overs ago
By:
Tempted to have a degenerate top up on England but am saving it for a speculative punt on India to equalise the green against the draw!
By:
It looks like it is Tom but it often settles down as the ball goes soft
By:
India openers are pretty quick scoring, not unthinkable that they have a few good overs and the market goes into panic mode as we often see in these 4th over chases
By:
The market still on the draw!
Who are the market? Anyone on the draw here? |
By:
that one kept low
By:
Love that appeal from Bumrah, none of this over the top rubbish! He just knows
By:
flip flop. The market now thinks England are favourites!
By:
England have to go for the win here, how often will they find themselves in such a good position vs India on their own turf. Expecting an aggressive declaration
By:
Leaving India around 400 off 120 would be my guess
By:
Aggressive nature of their batting suggests the same too
By:
I hate you Butler

Draw shortens after Butler 6 suggesting pitch is as not as bad as we think?
I don't agree with that! |
By:
Usual guideline with declarations, listen to how many runs comms think they need and add a hundred
![]() Strange how few overs Stokes bowled, if he’s not capable of contributing more and reasonably assuming Anderson and Archer won’t be able to contribute as large a percentage of the total number bowled I don’t think would want to set anything below 4 runs per over. Thr only thing making me think otherwise is how early they’ve started to bowl aggresively. |
By:
*bat aggresively
By:
The ball is still hard but reversing. Looks difficult to bat on then we saw Ashwin and Washington bat comfortably.
Still expect to see England win but no guarantees here |
By:
I think England will want 25 overs with the second new ball up their sleeve
By:
Can anyone explain the odds?
By:
Market thinks pitch is still quite flat, Englands bowling is weak and India should be able to bat out for a draw
By:
This is the mighty India, they dont lose at home! (according to the market)
By:
I am not convinced by the England spinners. Leach is better than Bess imho but Bess has been very lucky this winter! I think our seamers pose a serious threat on a deteriorating wicket!
I think a lot will depend on what happens after 30 overs of the India reply |
By:
How much Indian money comes to betfair do you think?
By:
sh1t loads! Theres loads of Indian/Pak exchanges that are linked to BF
By:
big saffa collapse
By:
if Cook was still captain, we'ld be batting in the morning

I'll post a separate thread later but as most of you shrewdies are here, have any of you been checking your P & Ls recently? I noticed that since 20th Jan several low-odds losing lay bets were debited by more than the stake, by as much as 5% in some cases. I notified Bf of a possible glitch and all their so-called "Escalation Management Team" came back with was that it was due to "rounding errors" on lots of other people's small bets. They then had the cheek to offer me the return of my own money taken in error as a "goodwill gesture".

By:
10-15 over thrash and get them in !
By:
Cook says 8 overs, I’ll say 14, any more guesses?
By:
By:
wow SAF 9 down, that unravelled very quickly
By:
always makes me laugh how fearless these players become once they move off the field into the commentary box regarding declarations
By:
Yeah!

I remember that game in 2008
Sehwag git 83 in the last session on the 4th day which made it easy for India on final day |
By:
gonna be 20 overs if Bess stays on strike, wtf is he doing?
By:
Ball still good after 31 overs
By:
What's going on? Looks as if they are batting to save a test match.
By:
Stupid from England. Get on with it
By:
Buttler 4 singles off 16 balls.

What strokes do people think Dom Bess has in his armoury?
