Root has one thing in mind and that's winning this test. The run rate has been massive compared to the previous 5 tests. He knows the weather ahead and will want this game done short and sweet.

A bit early for discussion but assuming Eng get 450-550 and bowl out Pakistan for less than 250-350 surely Eng won’t enforce the follow on being 1-0, they just bat ...?
