Matthews and Chandimal I think it was, they could have batted to day 7 last year I reckon

Even going back 6 years McCullum scored 300 here after the draw price hit 500-1

Extremely rare that double centuries aren't scored here atleast once per match. Would be ironic if the one time it doesn't happen it's when the likes of Pujara and Kohli are playing

I fell more confident now, got through the new ball relatively unscathed and no Wagner

Jucel I was hoping for 3 early wickets in the Indian innings, then hit draw at 20-1 +, but maybe too greedy. Hindsight tho

yeh same happened in kiwiland against SL december 2018, 3 down and then a massive stand
The draw was 50s and I filled my bootsGrin

Me too, was my single biggest win on a match I think. I did the same with the Bangas a few years back when they made 600+ in first innings.

NZ is the best test match betting country

Yeah I've been laying kiwis and backing draw but hedging a bit just in case India make an aggressive declaration. I think a nz win is the least likely scenario here

Agreed. The market doesn't seem to be efficient for nz tests at all

There is no consideration in the prices for the pitches getting easier to bat on, rather than more difficult

Well I got my wish with the draw price going out beyond 20-1, and subsequently filled up once it got over $25. Gotta take the risk, having regrets is worse than losing money. This script in Wellington has played out before. If I lose I can cop that... but if I didn't back the draw and it's a draw I'd feel very very sick

My biggest regrets in Test betting have always been writing off and hence failing to back outcomes at odds of 20+,
especially early or mid-way through a match.

Yeah there are countless examples of the market writing a team off too early. I've also often seen the market go too hard on the draw on day 5 when the game is just meandering along, lots can happen in the final 2 sessions

Test cricket throws up better oppurtunities than any other market on betfair imo. Sure t20 cricket you see some decent gubbings, but it happens so quickly and you barely have time to work out what's value. With test cricket there's so much time, the opputunities are there but it just requires patience
