sounds like the pitch is dry and england got no spin.

Amazing scenes. How England have gone from a side with, at times, more wicket keepers than fast bowlers to one with not enough specialists is one of the japes of our times.

going into a Test without a front-line spinner (or front-line keeper) is just bizarre

they haven't got a scooby what they're doing. can't believe leaving out leach is the right. no evidence that woakes or curran will do anything away from home and they've picked both of them

At least they are bowling first with no leach. NZ if they can get a good score may be quite happy bowling last on this. Pitch looks drier than normal.

NZ got 700 here last time and Bangla had a 200 p'ship in their second inns!

Pretty muddled thinking from England again! Nothing unusual there then.
Funny but I think Woakes could do well on this type of wicket. If there is any swing he could be effective and if it is not too fast he could score runs so I will keep powder dry over his inclusion. At least England will not be 30-3 04 40-4 this morning. I am glad Crawley is playing I want to have a look at him. There has been talk about Sibley's offside play too so will have a look at that. Not too many freeman leg side half volleys in Test Cricket! |
|
By:
NZ batting also strengthened with Boult out and Henry taking his spot. Not sure of Degrandhomme v Mitchell is a loss or gain on the batting side.
|
|
By:
but all known evidence if nz cobble together even 300 england will lose. they ain't winning batting 2nd and 4th with any sort of score posted by the opposition
