I think they actually do in that situation. They probably felt safe with armed police in the vicinity.

even in a genuine event, if you had somebody brave enough to stand their filming, armed police would have them off that bridge ASAP & the phone would be out of their hands & the footage would not be in the public domain

the footage i saw was from a building window.

Plus people only see it as a fight. They dont know its a possible nutter with a vest and has already stabbed someone.
