I thought they look about right with nz at 128-4 and having to bat last.

o I see. No issues here. stuck at 5's which is starting to look like a lay. But knowing my luck, if I lay it BJ will hit a 50 off 200 balls and bugger me.

This game has become tricky all of a sudden

Been some very soft dismissal today

That 4 looks a lay with the run lines now at 300.

But like I said, I am not going to let BJ watling bugger me up the bum. So will hold my initial position for now and that is a draw back at 3.75 which has looked very promising many times today but have not been able to capitalise on it.

my apologies you were right. It dipped to 3.90 but has now come back to 4 and seems stuck.

Maybe you need to have a word with Sir Sidney Rough Diamond aka detraveller! |

I strongly fancied this to be a draw after the start England got this morning. I have close to a four figure green on the draw but fear the pitch will be too uneven by the end of the match.
I always thught the NZ price was too short. I did and still do not see them winning this match. I have a decent enough green on England but I want to equalise it with the draw. I agree with others. The draw price is most stubborn and unlikely to drop enough for me to lay it but I might had a dab on England if this partnership can survive until the close Nicholls is a decent player and Whatling can make runs. The big Man is my Nemesis but I do not see the NZ tail being too effective with the bat. I cannot see NZ batting to lunch tomorrow. |

Aren't NZ too short? considering how it only gets easier to bat later in the game.

Well I think they are too short but to be fair I am betting against them winning this game. They will have to bat well, knock England over then contend with a pitch that possibly has uneven bounce and even maybe some spin.
The pitch looked easier today and may well be tomorrow so I guess that is where the chance is for NZ but they do not have much batting left imho. All to play for of course but I think England will win this as long as they dont get skittled by a decent NZ attack. I don't really think it will be a draw. Even if NZ get to within England we are looking at tea on the third day. England should be able to bat 3 session by now takes us deep into day 4. If England are batting they will not declare. I guess a lot depends on the pitch. Will it flatten out further or will it get more uneven? I think that is what will be hard to call but shirley if it flattens out England bat well and long. If the pitch deteriorates NZ concede a decent lead and England win. I have more faith in England's third innings than previously as long as we don't revert to 30/3 or 40/4. I am hoping those days are over! |

Unfortunately the market seems to agree with me. Not many fancy the draw at the moment and I am heavy green on the draw, more than twice the green than I have on England.
Might just have to bite the bullet and back England for more. They should remain favourites and heavy odds on as the match goes progresses. Anyone care to promote an alternative scenario? |

have to agree with WD above that i think england are in a strong position and that 1.95 is tempting me..
BUT the way England constantly throw their wickets away (along with my green)have left me,and the market,in a right pickle...i have no trust in any of em and Root looks so out of touch im finding it difficult to back anything...i levelled up last night before i fell asleep for the price of a pint after having a lovely green before sStokes decided to run around the crease after only a few overs yesterday morning, then a few more sh1te punts, pope chucking his away and i wont even mention jofra, well done Leach but why Butler played like he did was another head scratcher with Leach looking ok and dogged... so ive decided to hope the kiwis can hang around a bit so the draw drops low enough to lay,if not its some tick nicking and just watch it unfold with a few bevvys and try not to get sucked in AGAIN ![]() good luck all |

So I;m on the draw - was banking on the typical NZ pitch being easier to bat on day 4&5 then the typical pitch.
Ideally need NZ to bat most of the day and/or get 200 more runs. |
