I should have taken my own advice and had a nibble when NZ were 8s+ - I usually wait for 11s
before building a position against a long bating innings but you just can't trust Eng to hold on to a good position. |

England under Root are bang average and i put us behind India,Australia,South Africa and New Zealand and maybe on a par with Pakistan although recent series were drawn at home and lost in a neutral venue and par with West Indies although most recently they beat us 2-1 in the carribean and prior to that we won 2-1 at home, we really have dropped off the pace at test match level during the last few years with the batting a complete and consistent shambles placing too much pressure on an ageing bowling line up when Broad and Anderson are playing who will both need replacing very shortly leaving a massive hole in the bowling department albeit that Anderson has been injured anyway,we have zero chance of being near the top end of this new test championship as it currently stands.

What would be funny is of one ****er hurls racial abuse then everyone next to him moves a few feet away, Archer walks towards him saying "sorry, what was that?" while the overhead cam zooms in and puts the idiot on the big screen.

I haven't heard any of the other Kiwis or Sam Curran mention it either. I'm yet to be convinced Archer really wants to play test cricket. His attitude is poor at times Is this an easy way to exit without looking like he can't hack it? Apparently the person was yelling bbc and bc from the scoreboard area. Surely somebody else heard it? |

KW has apologized though he didn't hear anything and even though archer clearly mentioned it was someone from the barmy army.
I initially thought he was abused while walking back. If you can get abused while being out in the middle imagine what the boundary fielders go through over 5 days f cricket. |

Bowling 130s and then all of a sudden 150s when he feels like it. tbf Root's usage of him is absolutely terrible He should be the strike bowler told to bowl fast for 4/5 over bursts. No way should he ever be bowling channels at 130s |

I see I misread the tweet. Was wondering how fellow barmy lads would let someone do that.
I know he's only 24 but he's going to have to learn how to ignore people. You cannot let one person's insult become the highlight of the game. Wrong reaction imo. Should have just filed a report with the ground authorities at most and brushed it aside when asked. Now we have KW and NZ board apologizing to him. Ashley Giles making a comment too. |

The NZ crows isn't going to be too harsh but when he travels to places like India and Aus they are going to ask him to tweet every insult they throw at him. UAE probably the safest place for him with those empty stands
