Shows how c*ap both batting sides are that I had to stick Wade in, both sides openers are awful as well hence Denly getting the nod
Warner is averaging like 5? |
By:
Am I unique. I love cricket but only keep a cursory check in of the first 4 days. But the 5th day in a Test can be riveting viewing and nailbiting.

what about a combined umpiring III ?
By:
feck off draw I cant lay you any more

I'd be tempted to moan about the light here
I'd even call in the fire engines to put out a fire, I mean those bins are flammable with all that junk in them ![]() |

8th September ffs
Its too dark by 5pm surely? |
By:
Assuming Buttler isn’t a national hero by stumps im having Foakes as my keeper. The Aussie captain and Bairstow have been dreadful

Tom
Its still dark though, complain about the low sun? its blinding out there |
By:
Aus quicks must be pretty tired, bowled a lot of overs already without much of a break between the two innings
By:
only burns, stokes and broad for england and smith, labaschagne, cummins and hazelwood would get 7 out of 10 or more for me. no one else on either side can be truly satisfied with their efforts
By:
yes this is the 5th day and its brilliant, and they want 4 day tests, how boring this test would be if it was 4 days, the same in the test now bangladesh v afghan if it was 4 day it would have finished boring draw.

where's the facking rain when you want it ?
By:
another 4 or 5 overs without a wicket and aus backers will be panicking!
By:
decent ball
By:
Grant
Nah, they'll get them eventually |
By:
looks a fair shout

By:
166/6 tea
By:
Eh what about tea? surely we need 1 hour for tea and crumpets?
By:
I tell you what though if it was 166/5 here you'd be way more concerned as a Aussie backer/fan
But the tail is exposed here |
By:
if Eng can get 4 balls into the last over just 7 down they'll have a squeak of saving this
By:
I dunno Johnny, they’ll probably get run out on a no ball

light may be an issue later. gonna take until around 7.15 if goes to the end

Would you send in leech to bat next archer seems out of his depth with the bat so far
By:
G's a bit ambivalent atm
psyched himself up for the condemned man's last meal of delicious haggis, fried mars bar and pint of heevy b4 jumping now he may have to sate himself instead on his regular fare of Domino's pizza ![]() |
By:
I would send Leach in next. England won’t
By:
If the England think tank got any sense leech should bat at 9 today
By:
I'd rather have Leach as out last hope than Archer
By:
yes archer will come in defend a couple of balls, then start thinking his viv
![]() |
By:
Leach needs to be batting with the best possible player available in overton or buttler it no good him batting at 11 if there are 19 overs remaining
By:
You need to build batting partnerships in this situation
By:
sly cheating c*nts
By:
aus are starting to panic here
By:
can there be more than the min no. of overs stipulated or if Eng survive them is that it?
By:
One hour before the scheduled end of the game, the last hour starts. An agreed minimum number of overs (usually 15 in Test match cricket and 20 in other first-class cricket games) is bowled. The last hour therefore lasts either for the longer of 60 minutes, or the time it takes to bowl the agreed minimum number of overs. This rule is there to prevent time wasting by a team that looks likely to lose a game.
