The fact that Denly and Burns are scoring runs while just trying to survive shows how good this pitch is. Eng will need to make hay tomorrow while they can.

we got 2 fking nightwatchmen at 3 and 4 anyhow so why don't they just come in as of right?
| ||||||
|
By:
Jason Roy should be nightwatchman
Nah he's not that good | ||||||
|
By:
avoid the follow on, lose half a day to rain and England can still draw this
| ||||||
|
By:
Is it going to piss down for the next two or three days? If not why the draw price?
| ||||||
|
By:
Leach (92) dropped as nightwatchman.

im West of old trafford ...the rain forecast this morning has all blown through quicker than forecast...might be very minimal delay first thing and sat/sun clear. England gonna need to bat minimum four sessions. Prob down to Burns/root/Stokes...fancy burns to go well but find it hard to think England can get out of this...hopefully pitch gets better and better to bat on (like at Headingley)

I am with Juce here
Not had a bet as I have been away but can this England side bat out 150+ overs to save this match? My heart says yes because I have tickets for the 5th day at the Oval! My head says no and money stays in pocket. I want England to bring this series to a tumultuous and triumphpant end at The Oval. There is a chance of some rain perhaps but rain arrives on clouds and clouds help bowlers. The pitch is dry again underneath but there is bounce in the wicket. Bounce is more dangerous than spin for a right hand batsman against a World Class off spinner and make no mistake as much as I detest Juce's Rat Boy he is a World Class Off Spinner. England need to bat all day today and hopefully well into tomorrow. We have 3 batsmen in the top 4 who are contributing as much as our no 11. Having seen the number 11 bat at Lords I would ashley put him in next and save the miracle of Roy to bat against a slightly older ball this innings. | ||||||

once again the capricious weather denying England the chance to press on and seize the initiative
