Forget the weather, the overrates these days wont allow 98 overs.

Massive draw lay order just came in at 1.95

Has anyone noticed England have become second favs?
By:
England 3RD FAVS in my Book, and if they lose the toss, GOODNIGHT NURSE !.
By:
det, they'll play the full 98 overs on sunday if light allows. won't come off at 7 if there are overs left. don't matter how slowly they bowl them
By:
I don't think you have that right. That applies to just the last hour. SO once we enter the last hour, 15 overs have to be bowled.
Correct me if im wrong. |
By:
The minimum number of overs to be completed, unless an innings ends or an interruption occurs shall be:
1. on days other than the last day - a minimum of 90 overs (or a minimum of 15 overs per hour) 2. on the last day - a minimum of 75 overs (or 15 overs per hour) for playing time other than the last hour when Clause (e) below shall apply. The law suggest a min of 90 overs are to be bowled on all days. Yet we dont adhere to that law. So there's no reason to think why they will bother abt it on day 5 here. Its just the last hour they really care abt, if it comes to that. |

2.1 Draw!

it's 98 overs per day from now on. will be 83 before the last hour on day 5
By:
these are silly prices given Friday's forecast
By:
they never get anywghere near the 98 overs, so that's irrelevant aswell

By:
Actually draw is moving down as I type.
By:
Friday looking like another 60 overs to be wiped out!
By:
300 over test
What would be the price of a 3 day game? Surely it would be sub 2s |
By:
That's a lot of overs if the side bowling first bowls well.
By:
You're missing the point
Price up a 3 day game! |
By:
i've gone 30k red on results, about 1k green at the moment.
Spent a whole day yesterday in recovery mode & turned -3k into + 1k. Put a lot of hours in and it was worthwhile |

The non threatening nature of the wicket is a factor too, the groundsman took shots from Joe Root, he does not want to have another wicketfest and I hope he has gone to the other extreme with batters paradise.
By:
Yeh I'm not blind to that and I will change my position accordingly.
Just looking for the overnight trade that normally happens at midnight. |
By:
Do you have any explanation for England becoming second favs today? They went as low as 3.6 i think, while aus stayed at about 4.
I am thinking there is the possibility that if Eng bat first, it favors the draw but if they bowl first, market will love them to bowl Aus out(last test 110 odd for 8 remember?). |

Should be a sunny day today and good for batting..............famous last words!!

About the mafeking post, I don't understand why you guys keep saying they'll play all 98 overs. They'll play at usual pace and only the last hour the umpire calls 15 more overs at all cost. before that they will fk about as usual and probably get only 70 odd overs in.
