I can remember that. That was some funny stuff. Funny thing is a mate of mine (known him since 1st year varsity) is a chief meteorologist at the met service. He does swear no funny stuff goes on.

But the rain is coming from the south. I can vouch it is blowing a southerly here and quite a stiff one at that.

Groundsman thought 1 hour to clear but I think that is being optimistic. That said, the memory bank does say that the Basin drains very well and clears up quicker than other NZ grounds.
