no point playing for a draw 1-0 up with still 1 game to play even if they could. none of these games will be draws without an awful lot of rain. england have to win here or in colombo to win the series

Can't set 240 and leave 160 overs.

Perms dictate

2 options make sure they cant  realistically win or offer them a Chance to lose

Value in draw back   bumble knew

Can see sub 6

270 overs left, even if England get 400 in 130, still leaves 350 in 140 at about 2.5 per over.

Eng are going well below evens here, someone will score runs out of that batting lineup.

Jack Leach starting the day is fantastic news for Eng backers, the upside is so great.

Dropped my phone in the bath yesterday!

To compound that mistake I backed Engerland at 1.52 after seeing Leach bowl a couple of balls. The final mistake was not clearing those buys by laying England at 1.44. I am still 2.05 England and mildly hopeful

Those mistakes have cost me a free spin on gambling at high odds

I like most have not read the pitch well. I do not think from what we have seen the pitch will die but that is also a worry.

SL are nervous and not stopping the singles. England do Have biffers all the way down. If they use common sense and temper their hitting they might yet put up a target of around 200 which will be difficult to chase down

The talk of playing for a draw is misplaced. Every batsmen will have  a ball that will have their number on it. They need to score runs with caution before they get that ball. The only chance if a draw is a biblical stirm

It the run rate I'm delighted about, prodding and poking pisses me off so much.

Flip flop

Thinking about clearing the decks and buying on wickets but that is not really prudent either!

SL might chase anything though as England's spinners were poor in the first dig

it's almost a shot a ball even on a spinning track these days. go back 10 or 15 years in sri lanka and england hardly used to play a shot in anger. was a real grind to get a score

both sides have erred in length and line, probably caused by the proactive batsmen

4th inns might be a different story though if they're chasing 200+ under pressure
