@ CS : I had no trouble opening a Lloyds account on-line recently (well I had great trouble with their procedure, but for technical, not financial reasons).

If you pay regular money from one account to another then a third account that iss credit-checking I'm pretty sure would just see it as income.

Yeas ago I had capital but no income and I wanted a flexi-loan facility. They refused, cos I had no income. Then I said "What if I paid a fixed amount into my current account from my savings account?" and they approved!

Not surprising LLoyds bank thats my bank ^^^......now I'm with them I'll probably stay with them but they are the pits and they hate gambling!
