Managed to turn my position into a mess now.

I would tell Shami to have a swing then declare when he is out. No point waiting for Bumrah or Ishant to score runs or get out!

Could have cancelled my last draw back when that last wicket fell, forget it was there.

Agree, no point just blocking out there

Am:

495 red England
200 green India
9k green draw

Well, I’ve chased even further now, which is just compulsive idiocy.

Don’t really buy this. Should hope to edge and nudge another 30 or so and sometimes you get some loose stuff you can hit. Always likely to end soon though.

Can’t believe how stupid I’ve been here. Did myself in with those draw backs before close which trapped me into waiting for lower draw prices because that’s how I trade.

Would rather have an extra 90 mins bowling in these conditions than bat 20 overs for 30 runs

That is disappointing from India this morning.

Was hardly going to be 20 overs!

tremendous bowling this morning..well done..5 less runs would've well had it off
but got involved at to early a juncture laying inns runs
going to be interesting if the Indian bowlers can exploit these conditions
Eng are either going to get 400+ or fail to get a 1st inns lead imho

So did I. Writing on the wall once Pant out but still screwed up what was still an okay position there. Having laid England I’m a bit stuffed as need runs to bring draw in but that’s playing into my big red. Most likely England lose wickets at fairly regular intervals and the draw dies though.

I think it really strange England are favourites here

Back India or lay England even if the skies are clearing there is moisture for the sun to raise

England Lay has to be the play.
Only way their price shortens dramatically is if they score runs at a very fast rate, otherwise you have the loss of wickets and loss of time on your side

Perhaps I am a little optimistic here!

If they score runs steadily they’ll shorten quite a bit. There’s enough time left.

20-0 and India will be 4s. That's the problem for India backers. So much money comes for England at home.

if England get off to a solid start would expect the draw to come in faster than England

Yes but both will come in.

Although Cook and Jennings are slow scorers so you would expect the draw to move more, yes.

Ofc, its not without risk but it seems like one with more of an upside than a downside

Oh I think it’s a fine price to lay England at.

If Eng were to level the score with wickets in hand by around Tea tomorrow how short would the draw go?
By:
Fatslogger
When: 19 Aug 18 12:26
Getting on the draw at 8s worked but not at any of the several previous prices I had. Even on a flat deck you can’t chase the draw any more. Although I knew this would happen with the cloud.

Oddly, despite my indiscretions this morning, I could go quite reasonably green. Alternatively I could pray for Indian bowling and fielding not quite to be good enough and for the sun to come out at some stage. It’s  too much to ask for England’s batting to be any good.
