Personally I would also play that young Lancashire lad until he finds form. He has class and what it takes. I also think Jennings deserved another go despite his shortcomings. Could even play Cook at 3 and move Root back to 4.

Yep they went up to 8.4 just as I was making tea. I think I woulda had a nibble at that. The ball can swing after tea with pollution and humidity. Could be sunny all day tomorrow too!

I would give lawrence & clarke a go both avg 40+ in f/c cricket & I've seen enough with my idea to chance them instead of a failing batting line up
jennings avg 24.5 in 6 tests and 34.1 in f/c not great kept getting out the same way in tests you cannot keep picking players who do that as they are walking wickets to quality international attacks vince is the same |

I don't watch any county cricket so should't really comment. I just know Hameed is kwality and Jennings has the mental ability required to play test cricket. It is a tough game and he will get better but yes about walking wickets but that is what the coach is for.

Hameed very disappointing over the last 12 months. Some people just play beter at the highest level and I think he could be one of them. Ashley that is a sheite argument. I want to see him do well he has a pretty good all round game. He was amazing in India to my memory and Jennings did well as his replacement. People forget Test cricket is a tough game. He has only played 6 Test's. Hameed only 3.
What I am saying is that both have been identified. I hope at least Hameed gets a chance soon. |
