don't forget that Smith, Root and Bayliss have all encouraged Buttler to play his white ball game.......

|

an absolute shambles of a test side. might be best to let bayliss concentrate on the one day stuff and get someone else in. this can't carry on
|
|
By:
well done dt...ive left a tip by f'ing around when Bairstow came in...must get a dog

both bayliss and strauss have been given an unbelievably easy ride by the press.

My prediction of an innings defeat is still on but I think they might just escape. The retired hurt could have cost Pak. 20 runs which would have made the difference.
|
|
By:
might be best if bayliss just fcks off altogether imo, he does fack all & we can manage without him

if there were 3 innings each in this game & eng declared now followed by a pak declaration and then the final 2 innings started, I still wouldn't fancy england from here!!

all this talk about playing away from home, the toss, etc etc the bare facts are that england are just simply sh1te and if they were half as good as they think they are then they'd be twice as good as they actually are

the f*cking comedy of all of this is the Sri Lanka groundsman betting scandal.
As if this shower could last 5 days. (although it seems a bit odd, given that the weather can screw things up) |
|
By:
yes it is weird D, looking through the recently history of galle its not much of a draw venue anyway despite most matches there being priced up like it is
|
|
By:
Need to have a talk to myself!
Bet £25 on the draw this morning at 9.2 What was I thinking about? Can't afford to waste money like that! What was the market thinking all game! Shoulda gone all in this morning but decided recklessness is a thing of the past |

The 5 pak bowlers have only played 42 tests between them. The 4 excluding amir have only played 11 tests. And they come up with such a great bowling performance. Hats off to them. And to Arthur. How many countries in the world would be able to produce bowlers like this, having not played any cricket at home for so long?

I don't think this side is particularly bad.
We're missing one good opener. We can carry one or two weaker batters. The bowling in English conditions is pretty good. It's the application that's appalling. We lost this match in the first innings because this side lacks application, patience and discipline. I don't mind big hitting when you're in front but when you're level or behind, or you've just got in, and time isn't a problem, you grind. Somehow we think that's antiquated and we'll look like Geoffrey Boycott, but Pakistan's top five seemed to think differently and that, combined with the terrible first innings from England, is why they're going to win. Test cricket is all about batting the situation. Somehow, this side doesn't seem to realise this, and it seems obvious, with the comments Buttler made the other day, that this is an attitude endemic to the entire set-up. |

Yes there was a video on youtube of a left armer swinging it both ways ffs. He didn't even look 6.
