No, there should be a few more draws now as reverse swing will be less prevalentWink

I wonder if Broad will be dropped in the summer? Doubt it somehow

I think Smith understood what he had done. I don't think Bancroft does. I think maybe Warner will have a look at himself. What has happened is a good thing. I don't like this aggression in cricket, so pathetic. I feel sorry for the Aussie Ladies team, bigger cajones than the men!

The investigation concluded that Smith in the locker room noticed them talking, asked what they were up to and then said, don't worry, probably best I don't know.

I would tend to believe that.

I wouldn't be surprised if the leadership group discussed something like, need to rough this ball up so we can get another from the box, talking about the usual tactics.

Warner pulled Bancroft aside, here, this will do the trick.

Lehmann vision doesn't look good, but apparantly he just said find out what the fcuk is going on out there.  The runner (can't recall) was laughing and joking on the bench, so very much doubt he knew what was going on at that point.

Smith made the decision as Captain, to take responsibility for it because it happened on his watch.
Bancroft I wouldn't trust.  Warner obviously wouldn't.  They have Bancroft putting sugar in his pocket from a previous series.

I think that is how it went down.  I very much doubt, knowing what he knows now, Smith would do the same again.  I think next time his answer would be, I have no idea what is going on, lets find out, rather than as captain, I am to blame.

That is how I think it went down.

I often question the mentality of the away supporters. Imagine saving all year, going to the UAE to watch your team get flogged and you can't even drink afterwards

You can drink in the UAE, just not at the ground. Can't drink in India either at the ground

Warner is going to do a press conference tomorrow and Cricket Australia are apparently very worried about what he is going to say.

Yeah the ball is a bit older but even then how a number 9 can bat with ease and the others just did not apply themselves

ie we lose daylight savings this weekend, the clocks go back 1 hour. To compensate they are starting half an hour earlier.

despite the somewhat unexpected recovery still wouldn't put it past england losing this by an innings given the sheer haplessness of their bowling "attack". not a good sign that mark wood was able to smash it around so easily

Once again Jonny demoted to 7. If Wood batted to form we would be 240 all out with JB stranded on about 40.

What goes through Bayliss' head when he works out his batting order? On form JB is more likely to get a ton than all of the rest.

bairstow has been batting too low for ages

from 94-5 and 164-7 they were lucky to bailed out by bairstow & wood on a pretty flat deck

Just seen the wickets. Cook, Malan and Root stuck on the crease, again.

It really is shocking. Bayliss, Farbrace and Ramprakash (or is Thorpe there?) are stealing a living.

what we doing here now then, backing the draw? i fancy New zealand to make a fair few at a pretty slow rate

Problem with draw backing is that the weather is looking good for the next 4 days. So probably going to get full days play. Although it may get dark in the evening, we do need some cloud about for that which did not eventuate yesterday so they could play on. If there are clouds about it does get dark early. THis pitch does look a road and when NZ bat see Raval et al bat at about 3 an over for a longish time. But if they bat 2 days (540 runs) then there are still 180 overs to go. THis game is already so far advanced, so a draw back is fraught with danger.
