Pitch report: I think there will be a bit of dew eary in the morning. It'll brown off and will be great for batting later in the evening. There's a bit of dark color soil. I think it's a great to pitch to play on, reckons Scott Styris.

not much confidence in England on the forum then

however bad the test results continue to be don't think it's likely they rock the boat and remove bayliss with all focus on trying to win the world cup next year. certainly test cricket is definitely gonna be an afterthought until that's over

England Favourites why, I haven't got a ruddy clue, the game is being played on an English style surface, the ball will do a bit for the first 2 hours and then flatten out. Looking at Englands batting line up, they only have to get 6 wickets and their through to the tail. Stoneman usually gets England off to a fair start and might get a 50. James Vince, just bowl around the off stump and he's unlikely not to take long, before he's caught behind or in the slips. Milan did ok in Australia, but not great. Englands batsmen don't score big runs, unless Cook gets in, or scorecards have lately just been fully of lovely 20's, steady 30 to 70's and a few failures. I would have the prices around New Zealand 4/5 England 4/1 and Draw 7/2

and cook doesn't go big unless its a complete abomination of a track

Sounds like I am alone on being with Eng......apart from Ayt
|
|
By:
Stoneman all those years at Durham has had more practise on seaming pitches thn almost anyone in world cricket.
![]() Market went to 2.8 Eng there. |
|

Well England should never be favourites, lost 10 out of the last 12 Test Matches away. Anderson will bowl well, as he always does. Broad occasionally has a big spell, but very rarely. Wood can bowl quickly, but could break down at any time. Stokes not going to bowl much and an unknown spinner, who may or may not do well and the difference between county cricket and Test cricket is massive.
