yep get the paperwork moving

Batting last won't be easy. An Eng lead of 250 will probably be a winning score.

I am not sure I understand cack blocking either!

According to ECB, Anderson is fine: Tristan reports!!!
By:
good news

I thought he just looked ill, discombobulated. More like dehydration type of thing, given pills. I did not see him holding his side. Would be good to get some confirmation.

By:
no way jimmy would be still out there if it was anything like that
they must be hoping he can bowl 2nd inns at least |
By:
Why would you not bowl your two best bowlers after a lunch break with a hard ball and only 3 wickets left?
By:
Simon Mann says...... he is fine as....... Tristan reports!

Still amazed to see Smith play like this. Looked shocking on his first few knocks in test cricket
By:
odds on oz is so short. they won't be in front by tea in all likelihood. don't expect england to bat long enough 2nd inns to give the draw much chance but it's a factor surely

give Jimmy the ball

Aus's odds won't lengthen now until they start bowling.
By:
still nothing to worry about with the pitch
By:
might be difficult to prise batmen out when the ball goes soft but impossible to score runs without taking absurd risks. about 70 runs per session par in this match. unheard of these days certainly outside asia

By:
Smithy is out on his own in this format. He is doing me such a good turn here that I will keep lavishing praise on hm.

Fair chance of rain for most of the day tomorrow too (fair chance of rain at some point for most of the day, not fair chance it rains most of the day).

much like I enjoy watching golf on a difficult course, makes the players appear more human

By:
always a much better game where 300 to 350 is a good score

If you keep porking singles you can bring the field in and that makes it easier to pierce. Once you pierce it a couple of times the odd bad ball appearing. It is called constructing an innings. Many modern day batsmen have no idea about how to do it. Heavy bats, wide stance, limited foot movement, free swinging arms. No idea about tip and run.

very odd that broad hasn't bowled since lunch

Draw price has to crash through the 5 barrier soon.
By:
well played,a tough century
By:
Marsh, Smudge, even Paine and now Cummins have shown how to bat on this wicket. I hope England bst in similar fashion.
By:
I layed Eng at 2.3 when these 2 came together
By:
Very stubborn draw price that!

he's been poor as the 3rd seamer so far
draw still looks big. maybe only 500 runs left in this match going on scoring rates so far so if england even get 250 it's well in play |
