Any showers will make this market even more confusing!
Still nothing for the quicks. Apart from batting against Lyon it looks quite easy to stay in if not to score. We chose to take on the short ball and came unstuck. I think it was fair enough - we had to force the issue a bit. That last over we saw an Indian type field placing with catchers in front of the bat. I wonder if we even get a bit of Malan tomorrow, it's that type of surface. Rain plus more attritional cricket and the draw may well trade in the 3s again. |

I hope I'm wrong but England had to get 350+ from their overnight position. The Aussies were under the cosh at 76-4 but unless we get Smith quickly tomorrow we might find the game all but gone by tea on the 3rd day. If we end up with a deficit of even 50 I'd be surprised if we could win the game - just my opinion of course but we had an opportunity overnight to grab the game by the scruff & its going to be extremely hard work now - feels like we are a bowler light as Woakes doesn't look good enough at this level - Aussies @ 1.78 about right

If u believe the weather forecast at the current odds the draw has to be the play.
|

just looked on bbc weather looks like showers are forecast for sat and sunday draws at 4s could be the bet
|
|
By:
Shower on the Monday also from the forecast I looked at.

Draw looking likely. Aussies need to bat all day imo if their try and force a result, said 302 was competitive and its proved that way. Hope Smith can get a big one here and set it up for a nervy final 4 or 5 sessions for England.

This is so tought to call. If you are on Aus when they bat you will be on tenterhooks. One quick wicket early may open the gates then Aussie price moves out. There is strong support for Aus here. I still dont think they merit and odds on price but hey who really knows what will happen.
I am sticking with my original bets but will have to think strongly about playing it safe some time tomorrow. Our bowling does not look penetrative. They have problems with their batting. I was disappointed firstly when we bowled wide of off to Smith but even more so when we drifted on to the stumps FFS! Discipline was poor at times but also our plans were well thought out and I liked that alot! To be fair Marsh batted really well. If he went early Aus would be in trouble but he didn't. I think it is an even game, all to play for. The odds should be closer but they are not. I am still miniscule green until a wicket falls, lets hope it is early! |

I don't expect much in the way of rain today. More likely tomorrow.
England still a good chance for this despite the prices. |

I fear Lyon will wreak havoc in Eng's 2nd dig, Aus don't even need parity in my view, anything under 50 will do. Also want draw to come in more even though I don't think it will be draw just for purposes of red reduction.

the real weather to the east looks to be missing but worth keeping an eye on
just watched Jimmy getting Handscombe lbw with a beautiful inswinger..so hoping he gets the ball first up-some cloud cover would be nice too so disappointed with woakes's spell hats off to Smith with a great battling innings Marsh did well too which was most unexpected...good call from the Cardinal who backed Marsh to go well im still on England or draw but keep trying (f'ing up) short trades to reduce my Aus red tempted to lay Aus now too or back draw but will hold off as got enough aus red there at the mo a great test match...greatest sport ever.... They don't put the TV cameras on those kind of incidents. More's the pity. Would be a bit of comic relief.
