You'd have made far more money backing WI this morning than backing the Draw

You also have the upside of wickets hurting the Draw result more than WI win

Tom you are missing the point..

I have backed Windies for a long term outcome and for more than i have the draw which i have backed and laid a couple of times as to improve my overall book...

On that 2nd wicket this morning I layed Eng as low as 1.44 so the damage has been undone.   If Moeen had caught that ball I may have made a Full Monty Heavy Duty Reverse from a position of strength!

By that do you mean if you back the draw with the intention of laying off later then you are lining up to have your green on a result?

I mean you're making a bet on a result to happen, the odds will shorten if that result looks more likely to happen.
That's why I say it's much better to be trading on the likely result rather than one you don't think will happen

so.

4th innings chase at under 3 an over, no weather (i.e. draw non runner). what's an even money price?

200?

Only DT has admitted to having done his bollocks on this!  Well Done to him!  Hope he manages his position as well as he can

The Windies now have a big advantage; the England batting line up has 3 major weaknesses in the top 5 and I'll be surprised if they get 300 in the 2nd innings

Windies might collapse on the 4th or 5th day but surely they should be even money by now as the game is quickly going away from england

I never anticipate the draw in test match cricket now so I backed the Windies @ 5.7 yesterday & topped up this morning @ 2.74

If something sensational happens in a test match I will usually be on the right side of it as that's my weakness   Assumption Makers have been Hung Drawn & Deep Fried here.

Too early to say for me, have to see how easy batting is for England in their innings.

Would take some effort for England to get a 200 lead with their fragile batting

Just for your info tom, I have cashed out of that draw back at 5 giving me 125% return. If I'd done the same for windies it is giving me 87.5% return right now
By:

What would the return have been if Ali had held that catch?
By:

BY return I mean the decrease in my red on windies(because that is what the result will be as you say Happy

Stoneman, Westley & Malan playing for their futures with Big Shannon Steaming in Full Pelt doesn't augur well.

If Ali had held that catch England price would have shortened and I'm green there so that wasn't the issue

tom - to many on here, it's about numbers on a screen representing a game of cricket.

The numbers move all day, often each in both directions. It's not about outcomes, (that's fixed odds betting), it's about how the numbers react to the game and how peoples' opinions of that game differ, thus affecting the numbers!

I'm preparing to lay England but I think they may well win the match. Silly

Yes that is 100% true. The numbers move based on what is happening in the game and people betting on their opinions.
That's why I'm saying it's better to be on the more likely result because other people will be betting on the same.
P.S Hope you didn't get a lay matched CryCry
