India one of the strongest teams in the comp and Lanka probably the weakest, and no Herath who might have given them a sniff. Should be an easy India win, but that was the logic yesterday.

mixed overcast sun and cloud. mainly cloud, slight chance shower, temperature sub 20C but it does get warm at the oval later so I wonder if anyone may get some reverse at the end of each innings

Hate backing short odds in limited overs but even a speculative punt on the Sri Lankan's fails to appeal, as although there is some prospect threatening for a while, as against SA, don't think much of the attack. I suppose I may try to sneak a grand on at 5s if they get that long early.

India were massive at 5/1 before the tourny started and England apart there are no dangers in my opinion. Now I would expect India to beat England if and when they meet in this tournament. Remember that I think South Africa are good at bottling semi-finals, well I think England are good at bottling Finals, should they get there. Today India should win this game, even though they are batting first. There is rarely too much in the surface at The Oval for bowlers, so wouldn't be surprised to see India go past 300 and that will be too many for what is a very averege Sri Lankan side.

You know what, it is, although most of my lays both ways got matched this time so only won a paltry £400. Still very much the best gambling enterprise I've ever had in terms of ROI and clearly in terms of degeneracy points.

Haven't done much on the game beyond getting a grand on India at 1.33 on them losing the toss (so should have taken SL on high as per my usual MO) and now laying off at 1.25 looking for further backs after wickets.

I have a lot of general election bets floating around today - if Tories don't get majority of seats, UKIP win a seat and over 5% of the vote share I've done about £30k. I'm not even winning that much if they all come in (also have small amounts on May as PM and Tory majority), a little under £4K but that's short odds betting for you.
