Anyone who bets on the weather expertise of cricket commentators should expect to lose money.Wink

not sure why its going out again, 1.45 now but thats ok, maybe more on promise of play tomorrow and the wicket is not looking that easy to bat on. NZ could get rolled on this.

I know what you mean, I couldn't sit on a big draw back at short odds with the Kiwis batting

yeah that would make me very nervous as well. Without Taylor the batting looks fragile and they are batting with 10 with Latham in the lineup...

last I heard covers coming off and umps going out there at 5 to inspect. Can play to 7 but light might be a problem.

latest update on cric info. another inspection at 5.30... wet outfield.
By:

When: 25 Mar 17 05:13
rain has stopped for about 30 mins, players loosening up but umps going to tell ppl officially at 5.30 what will happen. The blow dryer is on the field and there are a few spots on the outfield that are a cause for concern.

Doesn't bode well for when the heavy rain falls on Sunday night!

looks like its game over today. If Cricinfo are to be believed anyway. you could be right there Juce.
By:

When: 25 Mar 17 05:43
no maybe not, 10 -15 mins more required on the hot blower and if improvement may still play... hmmmm don't know about that either. The problem area is where they have the runoff for the drain...

play abandoned for the day. Starts tomorrow earlier.

If it's an improving picture weather wise for the remainder then I think the draw is too short though it's good for me!.    Anyways I'm out for now, pleased with my efforts, when the saffer were 2 down for not many I could have lost my nerve.

The outfield was unplayable after a bit of drizzle. God knows what it will be like after the deluge on Sunday night

They need to Go To School on what the Lankans do and cover the whole field with a single sheet! Silly

It looks some showers tomorrow despite the hourly forecast. Probably a day like today.

Back to a decent position after a couple of chasing the market trades pre-play that I really should know better not to do.

I've greened up. 1.37 seems a fair price for where we are now. Hopefully they can start on time today and I can get back on the train at a higher price.

varying weather forecasts today again, yr.no has rain all day, met service has no rain until 4 pm. The rain maps look full of rain, now i have greened up i hope we get play and then its a case of keeping an eye on the radar.

Horribly red on NZ now and I have little idea why I've gone that way apart from if it comes to the crunch and NZ are batting last then I don't trust them.
By:
DAN1974
When: 25 Mar 17 19:51
Its going to be very hard for NZ to win Charlie, i just dont think there will be enough overs in the match for it to happen. they would need to bowl SA out today , get up somewhere near their score, then bowl them out cheaply again and then knock off the runs, with the amount of rain forecast i just dont see that happening. they could of course rack up a huge first innings total so they only have to bat once but that is even more unlikely.

When: 25 Mar 17 19:52
SAF will have to bat poorly for NZ to be a chance. But I don't think there will be enough overs for NZ to win. SAF still could win with their bowling.

I'm all green for pretty good amounts, but I'll probably go red on NZ.

Have absolutely no need to bet here again........

However......if some one can drift the draw in the next hour ill be tempted to pounce..

Some is missing but it appears to be all over and persistent and the outfield and so on..

It looks pretty dank as we speak.......
