Never in doubt!

I listened to the Scorchers reply on my mobile while driving to London. I got there with two overs remaining, parked and left my engine running as one is advised after a long journey...something to do with a cat I am told!

Anyway this woman walks past as I am looking at the game on my phone and asks me to turn my engine off! What? A wicket falls and to my credit I did not tell her to go forth and multiply even after she told me it was now illegal and I could be fined £80. I politely asked her to call a Policeman!

I digress. Ashley Scorchers paced it to perfection. If you think about it, Finch bowled some sheite in that last over.

Having said that why oh why don't they ever think about what they are doing! They had so many wickets in hand they could have sent in two pinch hitters or strikers like Willey and the other fella ( AJ Turner ) who got F. All or even MJ and say by all means defend the odd straight one in your first over but after that try and hit well if not every ball, just hit! Smack 30 or 40 in 3 or 4 overs and it is game over. Lose two wickets of bludgeoners and nothing is lost!

A wicket in the last over or two wickets can leave you little room for manoeuvre. Scorchers were lucky to win although they made their luck and deserved the win. They may have lost had Bravo not done for himself!

I have to say I would like to see the betting patterns on some of these BBL games! You'da thought Renegades woulda got closer to 200 than 150!
