India last lost a Test match dead rubber 5 years ago!
By:
i think this Indian team's attitude towards dead rubbers is different to prior Indians teams and I think Kohli really wants 4-0. Having said that, I doubt the pitch will take much turn (especially at the start of the test) given the rain in the last few days. Not sure how much the charcoal method of drying up the pitch is going to help. Nevertheless should be another interesting test. Hope for a bit of rain during the test to spice things up!

I can't see Kohli taking his foot off the throat and even if he thinks about it Anderson wouldn't even need to open his filthy mouth, just a look would do if he hasn't done enough already!
Believe it or not I do not think there is much between these two sides although they have Ashwin and home soil ( ok mea culpa ). Sometimes luck plays a big part in these games, which, I believe have been titanic struggles for both sides despite the final outcomes of each game. England had very little luck and what they did have they spurned. India rode theirs. I don't think any result is a forgone conclusion as yet. Toss and pitch again pretty vital for Engerland at least. What will be interesting is the make up of the England side. I would love to see India play Rishabh Pant. Yes you hear it again here, remember the name! |

all sorts of rumours are coming from the ground re: the cyclone. you don't know who to believe!

I think minds might be on other things for Eng like getting the fck back home for Xmas with the family and kids, Cook calculating his pension and Root thinking about a summers pay rise.
![]() ![]() ![]() Might avoid this one. |

its a low slow track at Chennai almost always - God knows how the cyclone has changed things

Draw price reflects concern over the pitch and outfield. If the match starts on time draw will shoot out. Not much we can do except monitor the news.
By:
I am sure the match will start on time and we will get full play.
My questions are Will there be any juice on the first morning Will the turn be low and low enough to merit a lay of India? I am not sure of either tbf |
By:
low and slow

I personally don't think Dead Rubber applies here esp to India, Kohli is very intense would he really slacken off? there is some bad feeling between the 2 sides and India wants to humiliate England. Eng might be mentally gone though. Same old story if Eng bat 1st I'm prob on them, worked out quite well last week for me.
By:
^on them with a lay of India^ ...like last week

Anderson out and maybe Broad as well. Decent amount of rain forecast day 5 if it gets there. Draw starting to look attractive.

^ Have to agree CS, Kohli looks like a rabid dog on heat, you can always see it in his eyes and Eng just want to get the fck home. No dead rubber for India.

Got to agree whizz kids - Kohli will want this one dont fancy england at all.
By:
I will leave this until after the toss.
Not sure what to do atm?? I've got a good bet on Aus that I know I can sleep on for a few hours and don't plan on much trading in that match or do I stay awake for the first session of the India test?? Also got a big bet on Friends of Jo Cox for Xmas no1 and the single comes out today so would like to watch the market. ![]() ![]() |

By:
I'll tell you what to do. Go to sleep. Thank me when you wake up.
By:
I'm trying. That's the problem with late night/early morning games.
By:
OK Eng bat so i lay India though its a trading position, not actually expecting Eng to win but who knows maybe they will surprise me!
By:
Layed India at 1.61 so PLEASED as Punch with them now at 1.75
By:
& that will be my scaling out starting point..............a slow and steady drip backing of India as they drift out.
By:
anderson is sore; really. which bit? his vagina?
By:
Tbf DStyle he is no loss here!
I like Ishant but he is a big plus for England and Mishra also weakens the batting. Might pile into England after a few overs is no juice in the pitch Lay Of India at 1.65 and small England back at 6.4 so far |

Over 20 ticks to the good already 10 mins before the start :-)

Sharma = absolute dogsh1t

Wouldn't mind a couple of early wickets.
By:
Glad I haven't had a bet on this yet. I was thinking England or draw back! Both looking terrible decisions at the moment
By:
deja vu, this time i layed the draw at 3.45 and i am going to leave that as my only bet, i am determined not to get drawn into anything else.
By:
why the fcuk is Ali still batting at 4?!
By:
Could be mileage in a draw back, with the weather forecast for Tuesday.
By:
forecasts for tuesday vary, some say scattered thunderstorms, i think the draw will be gone by then anyway.
By:
England going nowhere, look all over the place and Ashwin hasn't bowled yet

After Cook went I thought 150 all out was on cards so decent recovery here with Moeen riding his luck and Root looking class, lets see if he can improve that conversion rate here with a Daddy Sized Ton!
By:
Apart from my pre match India lay of India at 1.61 I also layed India as low as 1.33 :-)
By:
draw dropping like the proverbial.
