slow turn, but very playable. The batsmen seem to have time if it's even slightly short.

1 partnership taking India from 1.31 to 3 and beyond! Magnificent Stuff!

typical Chennai pitch this. I wouldn't rule out a draw on here if England have the right desire

He is NOT a number 4 and was very very lucky before lunch. Played well after to be fair, but way too loose and poor shot selection too often.
Also he is scared of the short ball which is unacceptable for any top order batsman

Was liking the draw earlier. Still am, as we could lose a chunk of Tuesday.

yes weather bet not out of question here - more of a Pitch issue though , Chennai is always low and flat! - remember that for 2020 tour!

Engerland have never lost a Test Match on the Sub Continent after scoring more than 400 runs

Bigger. Wrote war and peace and lost it

Pitch is straw coloured not clay. India could be batting on day 4.

Draw very good price here but I am staying even green draw / Engerland

Lay India could see a good return too be wary of new ball though

4 test 100s for moeen in this year. not bad for a bloke who can't bat Crazy

bairstow, root, stokes and alli all averaging around 50 (60 for bairstow) in 2016. shows how poorly we've bowled at times especially at the tail

Several batsmen have done well but this tour nobody has done amazingly, given that the pitches have been a long way away from the square turning monsters a lot of us expected. The bowling has, of course, disappointed but it's still a little odd that England are 3-0 down after a not terribly uneven series. Kohli and Ashwin have brutalised us though.

Also, appreciate how the series has gone so far that it looks hard to see England getting 20 wickets even if they get enough runs but from 284/4, India s fair bit shorter than England? Seems rum to me but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to get a big lay in, having got on at 1.58 with England around 100/2, which felt a sillier price still.

We haven't scored big hundreds. Root's 'problem' of getting out between 50 and 100 has been key.

Interesting that whilst we can get frustrated by Rashid's economy rate, India's leggie can be trusted far less than ours..

Even day. 400 as we've seen, guarantees England nothing. It's still a long way off. Very tempted to lay India for something obscene but Eng can't be trusted I'm afraid.

Yes!

I was right for a change and deliberately so.

England have never scored more than 400 batting first and lost on the Indian sub continent

England need to keep India in the field for a minimum of three hours tomorrow or that record may fall too

Stuck for another bet on this, currently as red on India as green on other two. If England bat well then India lengthen and, presumably, so does draw - even though it's short at the moment. If England collapse a bit then draw lengthens and India go shorter.

What does the pitch do? A bit of a pudding to start with but after a few days sun then what?

I'll stick, miss first session and ponder a bit more then.

England runs in at 460  with sporting index and outsider of three Confused think draw is rather short in a dead rubber especially with England batting first, with only a few showers forecast for Tuesday at this stage !!

Winviz has this as a draw, just. So any amount of rain Tuesday makes the draw a good bet.

Of course, either or both sides could collapse and the draw roar out.

Not totally sure. I got a lay in at 2.9 but that was with England 8 down.

You know, I almost got on the draw at 8 when I woke up this morning a bit after 5 but got distracted by my wife, in a good way, although not for my Betfair balance.
